Vision after Lasik

manojn posted:
Hi

I had Advanced Customvuew Lasik 3 weeks back.
I have 6/5 vision now.
The problem is, the vision is perfect only in brighter environments.
I see foggy extensions for the bright objects on dark backgrounds.
This problem can be worse with the brighter text on dark backgrounds.I see the Foggy extensions of text such that from distant vision the extensions will be so worse. They look exactly like a transparent duplicates of the text/object.
Please let me now whether this problem is temporary or permanent.
Please let me know whether there is any way to solve this.

Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
There are often visual imperfections like the ones that you mention during the first few months after LASIK which improve. These are caused by temporary dryness, swelling, and excess correction.

Best idea is to check in with your LASIK surgeon and check for dryness and assure the accuracy of your treatment.

Thanks for the reply Alan.
I checked with the doctor already and she said there is no problem with the eye/vision. I could see the vision chart clearly without any problem.
They also dilated the retina and confirmed that there is no problem.
At present, I am using Vigamox,Flarex and Normo Tears Eye drops. At night I m using GenTeal gel.
I hope my problems will clear soon.
Do you have any other suggestions? If so please let me know.
