Did the sun damage my eyes?

scarface94 posted:
I was sitting in my car which has no tinted windows whatsoever, and the sun was directly in front of me but I was looking down at my phone the entire time to avoid looking directly at the sun, but I could still feel it hitting my face. I never looked directly at the sun. I feel no pain, there's no difference in vision, and I don't have red eyes. I have OCD and I need to know please.

Also, my car is too old to have a UV protected wind shield so take that into account.[br>[br>
Thank you.

Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
The windshield in a car is a glass laminate and absorbs a lot of the UV.

No harm done.
