LED Screens
zperrell101 posted:

I recently purchased an iMac with a 27 inch screen. I have heard that these screens can cause eye problems. Is this true?
Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
There is NO evidence that any permanent eye damage can occur as a result of viewing computer displays of any type. Yes, your eyes can become tired from extended periods of computer viewing but no biological damage has ever been shown as a result. If your eyes get a bit tired or dry after prolonged viewing, take a short break, look away from the screen at more distant objects or you can even put in a drop of an artificial tear lubricant. But don't worry.
