Eye pressure with lack of vision
dpbowl posted:
Does anyone have eye pressure, feeling like there is a pillow held behind your eye,. I have had this pressure for 3 years. I have been to many eye centers with nuero optomologists and they say my eye is perfectly healthy and the pressure of my eye is normal. When I take the eye test and am given the black to block the pherriphial vision I can not focus with at all. I have pain in the top inside corner and shadowy vision. Just wondering if anyone else feels like I do. Its started to bug my other eye also.
Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
While the duration of you problem and the number of specialists that you have seen without any "bad" diagnosis speaks against anything terrible, I understand the frustration of not knowing exactly what is going on.

If the problem doesn't resolve or particularly if the symptoms worsen, its worth another look by the neuro-ophthalmologist as well as perhaps an otolaryngologist (ear-nose-throat) specifically looking for a sinus issue - as you know there are sinuses surrounding the eye socket and sometimes your kind of symptoms may seem like eye related but may really be a sinus problem.
