I can sympathise. My 15yr old has been a nightmare for 3 yrs now. She was diagnosed last year but has just gone through a massive manic. I am also Bipolar I was diagnosed in my early 20s and have been symptom free for 6 yrs now. I've learned that it is absolutely crucial to keep myself healthy and stable in order to look after her and her siblings. We are going back to the DR to get her meds looked at again and hopefully will be able to ride out this storm without too much damage.

I feel for you ! This age is difficult enough, then add mood issues, and female hormones and wowzers !!!

I hope your daughter has a really good, smart pdoc !! ??
Are you happy with her care so far?
When my daughter is unstable, we go see her pdoc weekly to try and figure out what to do next. It can be very tricky finding a med combo that works - it took us a couple years of trial and error.

Support is HUGE, I hope you have some good people who help out. I joined our local NAMI for in person support, and online I have belonged to http://www.thebalancedmind.org/ for over 5 years now.

Take care, and write back anytime !
