Possible foot fungus

Both of my feet have a pretty large amount of callouses on them, particularly the side of my big toe and second toe, which i never thought was abnormal. Along with this though, those two toes especially and too some extent the others, have a large amount of dead skin on them. They've been like that for a few years and I never really thought anything of it. My second toe on both feet is the worst,especially on the top of the toe at the highest joint, constantly has dead skin and very rough spots and the skin around the toenail is always very dry and flaky and sometimes dead. Recently my feet have begun to smell pretty bad. I've never had a problem with it and have not changed the kind of socks or shoes I wear and am a very light sweater. I wonder if the two are related and it could be some kind of fungus?
