Reconstructive foot surgery--gone wrong

I had total reconstructive foot surgery in December of 2008. They broke the center of my foot and placed a bone graft in the middle to create an arch. They also put in two screws through my heal and repaired my tendon.

The only problem I kept running into at EVERY followup is that my bone graft wasn't healing to my bone. I did a stimulator forever on it, cut down on my smoking and after the cast was removed, I stayed in my boot for 14 months.. only to find out there was hardly any change. My doctor (who I loved) said it was healing well enough that I could have another surgery to remove the excess bone graph off the top-- which made me look like I had a huge tumor on the top of my foot. I did the surgery and eased out of the boot. Now here we are, at the end of 2010 and the bone graft is still sliding out, I still have chronic pain, and only feel comfortable (physically and mentally) with tennis shoes on. I have to get all my shoes, including my boots stretched in order to put a shoe on. I work in an office and can't wear heals--unless I plan on being carried out by the end of the day from pain.

What can I do about the chronic swelling? As you know.. chronic swelling has hardened. The tumor-looking bump on my foot is pretty embarrassing and very painful to the touch and it's been almost 2 years. Im 21 and am very restricted.
