    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Another BAD day....I am extremely frustrated. I am going to stop taking my meds....why take them if they are not helping.

Really does the pain EVER ease up?

Don't stop taking your medications! Your symptoms might get worse. Are you exercising at all? Even when you feel your worst a little stretching exercise can help a lot to reduce the pain.

I have had fibr. since 1997 and I try to exercise at least 3 times a week. My fibro. is severe. I also have chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, 2 bulged disks, 1 herniated disk, sciatica, chronic headached, blurred vision, etc... I know how you feel.

I was taken off work (as a nurse) 6 years ago, and have been on disability ever since. My advice concerning disability is to buy your own disability policy if they have it where you work. This will help you have a decent income for life. I would have only had 800 dollars from social security (which I recieve along with my personal disability money), with the extra disability policy, I ended up with more than double what I get from SS.

The pain does wax and wane, meaning it comes and goes.

If you need more information about fibromalgia from a fellow sufferer, I just started a blog to help people like myself suffering from fibro. It's at www.fibromyalgiacareblog.com ..I want to help people with fibro. through articles that I have done and continue to do on anything related to fibro.

If you want specific information, ask in my reply area and I will get you the information. I know what your going through and it's very difficult. I am also looking for friends who have this horrible disease to connect with because I am mostly homebound also, with just my husband, children (they are grownup but live close and visit often), and my parents...no real friends because they couldn't stick around for this fibro. crap. I know many people out there are just like me, so visit me at my blog so we can talk and help each other.
