    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi this is all new to me and im not very good with a computer but here it ggos. i have been suffled around by doctors and ,physical theripist had xrays done recently that showed nothing then had an MRI done and still nothing . the doctors have me on diazepam, prednisone, acetaminophen with codeine , im NOT big on taking pills ,but it seems to be the only thing that helps me function just to get through the day.i have not been to work in 3 weeks .my doctor told me to go back to work. which i would love to do but how do you do that when you cant consintrate and in so much pain you just want to cry because the pain is so bad and you feel like your worthless. i have 3 children still at home that depend on me but lately they have been taking care of me, my soon to be husband is very suportive but doent know how to help,he wishes he could make it all go away.im in the process of waiting for an appointment to see a neurologist.the pain i feel every day i would not wish on anybody

Well sorry to here your trouble and the response from your DOC is typical of mnay well meaning docs but it will have its good moments too. I had to medically retire in 2004 after fighting to stay on the job used up all my extra perks andstill no end in sight at the time my doc thought I was fighting a very nasty flu cycle. Well 14 months later no improvement and she and colleauge finally concluded that i had fibro (32 pills 4 times a day not an ounce of pain relief or energy to boot. My husband left me , my friends without a backward glance left and I was at an Internet cafe and total stranger now best friend took the time to sit and hear me out.. so there are angels here on Earth.
