hi, first I like the way you write it brought a smile to my face and that doesn't happen as often as it should. You mentioned "that new bed" is it something special, a brand or kind of bed. I am looking for anything that can help me sleep so maybe it will help me make it through the next day. Boy do I sound gloomy, sorry! Lots of bad pain days. Thanks

I was diagnosed 8 yrs ago after a series of failed neck surgeries and prior failed lumbar surgeries, I would take this drug. I try to keep my anxiety low by continuing my type A behavior; we all know how that works; one failed " in my mind" task; causing an anxiety explosion! I am currently 204 lbs! very ashamed to write;currently #1 anxiety; I am on Lyrica and have gained 25 lbs since starting it. The loss of appitite part of this new drug would be a blessing for me. I am trying (once more for the nth time) to get some mild exercise for the weight gain; but being on my feet only makes my swelling worse; have tried stocking-eat no salt and have restrricted my diet. But hope ever blooms-yeah for this new drug

It sure would beat asking your State Senator to introduce a bull legalizing marijana for pain. I have done this and he did but was shot down. Right now the meds I am taking are ripping up my stomach . It is not unusual for me to be nausiated all the time. Dry heaves are hapening more often. If it were legal I would be using it right now. I understand this is only available in Canada. Is this correct?

That's all well and good if you have the time or the inclination to rest. I cannot rest and waste my life away. This thing has taken too much already. So, I am always on the go both politically and family. This week I am visiting my grands and daughter. I made 2 costumes for a play the girl is in and Sat I will be home back in my office where I volunteer for a political party and catch up on the camgaigning . This will continue until after the elections. I am never home and always on the go. Am I in pain? Your damn right I am, but its just God's way of reminding me I am still alive. I am not ready to roll up and dry up. It may take me forever to get something done but it gets done.

I think it would be good but would it also increase appetite?? I also wonder if it would be good for arthritis pain...we know there is no cure & what about the long term effects of this drug??

Yes I would consider taking the drug. I have fibro, lupus, migraines & osteoarthritis in most of my joints (1 hip replaced), with other medical stuff & I just turned 41. I take Celebrex, Lyricia & oxycodone. I have 2 kids 10&8 that I have to keep up with. Given the option I'd rather be high & able to do things with them than lying in bed unable to move due to the pain. I try to swim & walk as much as I can & stay around folks who are positive & upbeat helps a bunch. I think everyone should evaluate there own life & figure out what works best for them.

I think after all the drugs I have been on, this could not be any worse! When I was a teenager many years ago I smoked pot, but it just was not my thing, because it made me relax and sleep. Now I am thinking I would love to sleep a full night or be able to fall asleep. I would love not to be in pain all the time and on all the drugs some doctors want you to try.

I am now backing off my medicines, I have been on pain meds for years and now I have stopped leaving the house, pulling away from my friends and family because I am so tired of people asking how I am feeling. The pain meds eventually really mess up your mind and body, I can tell you I feel better mentally without the pain meds.

I have found one thing that works for me when I go to bed; I have restless leg along with FM and CFS and I noticed that if my legs were warm when I got in bed I could relax better. So I tried to sleep in long pants, that drove me crazy, so I had to find a way to warm my legs so they did not hit cold sheets but the rest of my body was cool. I cant sleep when I am hot, so I bought some leg warmers like we use to wear in the 70's or that dancers wear now. It has helped, the bottom of my legs don't hit cold sheets and my feet are not in socks and I am not tangled up in pants.

I do think I would like to find something that would relax me enough to rest, that is the biggest problem with this disease anyway, not resting. So that is my opinion and I have been living with this for about 6 years and it is not getting better, so I say bring it on!

The most important thing is talking with GOD and thanking him for everyday good or bad and giving it to him. If you really give him the weight and not try to carry it all by yourself, you will find it helps.

Hi, I wanted to tell you I tried pilates also, it took me 2 months to be able to sit down without pain. Pilates put too much pressure on your back and most FM people have a lot of back pain.

I lost 50 pounds, but that was after my thyroid was checked, FM people are different when the levels are tested. I finally found a doctor that knew about FM and realized that and put me on thyroid medicine and I started loosing weight. Before that I could breath air and gain weight, it was driving me crazy. I also cut out all white foods, like white rice, bread, potatoes etc. because the yeast was causing me to gain weight. If you go to all wheat and whole grain you will see a big difference.

Hope this helps......Good luck!

After having fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for many years, I am ready to try most anything if the side effects are not too bad. If pot were legal in this state, I would smoke it. Nothing else seems to work for the pain.

I have suffered my fibromyalgia for many yrs plus I have osteoarthirtis. There are many times even the bottom of my feet hurt to walk. I would defiantly try Nabilone for the pain.

I would certainly be willing to try it. Presently rely on hot baths, pain killers (incl. tramadol and occasional oxycodone) and sleeping pills. Seems like it should have lesser side effects than current other drugs, which I dislike taking but they do provide some needed benefits. I asked doctor about it, but he said it is hard to get.
