Morning FMily.....MiMi in NC...where I just heard that NC might have a record high temp today...interesting weird weather that we are having...73*...it is now 43*....but this is not the only thing that is very strange and weird, so much going on everywhere.
It is just sad that our country has gotten to this stage, for lack of a better word.

Last night we got all sorts of storms throughout the night. I know that the furbabies barked a couple of times...Sassy does NOT like storms...and she lets me know this.

Here is hoping each of you had a good night's rest....and I hope today will be a better day for us all, with little to no pain.

I know that we are growing again....and I want to welcome all of the new people who have joined our group recently. I am sure that soon each of you will find something that will help you cope better...it does take time and effort though..so please know that there are no quick fixes for learning how to deal with and cope with the wrath of the dragon.

Vitamin D....so very important....be sure and speak with your doctor about having your Vitamin D level checked...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Enjoy the sunshine today....I hope to do the same.

Just a quick good morning Mimi,

Glad the boiler is fixed......but 73* how great is that! Today I think they said close to 60* for us. I will take it, I hear the birds songs have changed so I am so hopeful. The weatherman said DON'T be fooled. "Eyes wide open".

I have the CRUD...from congestion in the head to ears and now to the chest.....thought I shook it off, but it lingers.

I wish all the fmily a low pain day today. I have it off for the moment and I will use the sun and some fresh air to get myself up a bit. This is day 6 of this mess.......no fever, no discolored mucus so I am just hydrating and going with it. No nyquil last night,.....slept Ok. But the chest is getting heavy. Moving on to Robitussin today.

OK guys, have a better day today............Nancy B

You have already posted when I get on at 6.

Hope everyone is pain free today and can enjoy the weather

Good Thursday FMily. I hope that this finds you in a good place and that your fibro pain and issues are few to none.

It's going to be 75 today Lots of sunshine. This will be the warmest day since Oct. Later this afternoon and later tonight we're in for it though as a storm is heading here that will bring strong winds, rain and perhaps tornadoes. And yes I'm getting the cellar ready

Although I live for spring and summer with it comes sever weather bumpy days. And it really feels like early spring already. I was thinking that if we got an early spring we'd have to deal with many extra days of bad weather and it looks to be that will be the case. Not happy about that.

DH is home today and we are hoping to be back home so we can get some things done around and outside the house before any storms hit. .We both have doctor appointments this morning. I have to go to the hearing aide doctor to have my new hearing aide checked one last time before they let me release it to me for the rest of this year.( I go in once a year to have it adjusted and cleaned )
And I have to say this that hearing aide is amazing. It really does amplify the sounds I need to hear and softens those that I don't. Hearing aides sure have come a long long way!

MiMi, sorry the storms that rumbled over your area last night were bad. They sound like the same ones that rumbled over us most of yesterday morning. I am hoping that the ones coming at us later today don't make it to where you are.

NanB hope you feel better soon. I know that the cold virus is going around here and I am hopeful I don't catch it. DH and I went to church service last night and I've never heard so many children and adults sneezing and coughing. I know this sounds bad but I wanted to head for the exit after just a few minutes in there.

Angelswife, I hope you are feeling better today and that the van is holding it's own. I think of you so often during the day and wish there were something I could do to make your day better.

CeCe, I haven't seen a post from you lately. I hope it's because you've been busy doing things that you enjoy. If not I hope you are able to find a few hours in the day to do that. I made our reservations yesterday for our trip into LA yesterday. DH and I'll be there for a week and I am hoping that I get everything I need to get done there done.

I guess this is where I sign off and send well wishes and gentle hugs to each of you.
Have a great day.

Good Morning, Mimi!
I am getting on late---I was busy working on a piece for my Writer's Group this morning. Now I have to finish a shawl for one of the members---her church is raising money for a mission trip to Guatemala and they needed things for the raffle.

Husband's hearing test was not good, unfortunately. He has a 50 percent loss in one ear and a 47 percent loss in the other, all from the nerve damage of being in the war. The recommended hearing aides cost OVER $5,000, so we will have to wait a bit. But some way we will get them----we have to. When he tested a pair yesterday, he got tears in his eyes when he heard my voice.

I am hurting today, but not super badly. Climbing in and out of Husband's van isn't easy, because it's huge. I was in and out (I think) seven times yesterday, so my shoulders and arms are hurting. But I am doing okay otherwise.

I have no idea what the weather is going to be---I haven't turned on the TV all week. Husband has been doing his web design class instead of watching the TV, and that is fine with me. It is getting very gray out, though, so I'm thinking we may get rain. We had a spectacular red sunrise this morning.

Nancy---have you tried Mucinex Max? It's new, but it's a liquid, which is why I like it. It has the decongestant, expectorant and acetominaphin all in one. It may help. Hope this passes soon.

Linda---our church has the same thing. The deacons have started passing hand sanitizer through the pews during the service, to minimize the spread of germs. We have to keep our pastor healthy, since he's had a heart transplant.

Time to go---I need to finish the shawl. I have to do the fringe, and I will be tying on over 200 strands of yarn. Hope everyone has a good day!

Angelswife, gosh I wish I had thought about hand sanitizer last night. OMGoodness it was just cough, sneeze, cough, sneeze. It just didn't stop. At some points you couldn't here the priest and that poor man has had a stroke and has a bad heart.. should have thought about him as well. ;(

Sorry you are hurting. Wish there was a way for you to get in and out of DH's van. I have a GMC and it's high enough for me so I can only think it must be really difficult for you. ;(

How did DH's hearing test go today? I hope it all went well and that his hearing is good and that he doesn't need a hearing aide.
OTT ( on that topic ) I just walked in from my hearing aide recheck at my hearing aide center. My doctor, a really nice lady, said the reason my new hearing aide was fading in and out some times was that it's computer chip sensor too much noise for me so it shuts it down and when it seances that the noise in an acceptable level it goes back up. Cool but I wish someone had mentioned that to me before because I thought it was a faulty hearing aide. NOT. She set it's background sensor level and I should be distraction free.
You have a good day.. I am wishing you a pain free day.

The hearing test wasn't good---Husband needs TWO hearing aids. At a cost of over $5,000 for the two, we will just have to wait.

Husband's van is an F-350. He put a step on the bottom, but I still have to pull myself in. I am hurting head to toe right now! I was in and out of the darn thing seven times yesterday. I am glad the pain hasn't gone above a four, because I'd really be in trouble. I will be going to bed early tonight!

Good afternoon

I've had a busy day today. I'm experimenting with my scone recipe to make it healthier, so I made a batch this morning...not *quite* what I want yet, but it was close. I've got bread dough rising in the kitchen. I couldn't find a recipe with everything I wanted, so I've combined three or four. This has whole wheat flour, oats, and ground flax seeds. Once I get it in the loaf pan, I'll sprinkle more oats on top to make it look nice. We can stop buying bread from the store once I come up with something that tastes good and has the calorie, fiber, and protein amounts that are in the bread we usually buy.

I stopped at a couple of stores on my way home. I found a little grinder at Walmart for under $20 - I won't have to use my mortar and pestle to grind herbs and seeds anymore! I used it to grind flax seeds this afternoon and it only took about 15 seconds. It's going to make some parts of my baking so much easier

Meds are wearing off...time for me to put on some sweats and find my heating pad. Hope you all have a wonderful evening, and extra *hugs* to those who aren't feeling well or are having difficulties.

~air hugs~
