I notice that during my PMS time my fibro really flares ups, does anyone else have this problem? And I am starting menopause and during my PMS time once my flow starts the pain subsides, but this month no flow came, and I am in constant pain. Is there any suggestions to help the pain?

Mine does the same thing. Thought I was just going crazy. Especially since most of the time I just skip a few months.

I just muscle through it......

Sorry I can't be of more help. Feel better soon!

Hello and welcome....MiMi in NC....I had a hysterectomy years ago....but I still experience this also....the wrath of the dragon rears its ugly head around the same time that I would be/if it was still possible be getting ready to have my period...so the PMS never goes away....it has to be hormone related....and I also think that the FM is somehow connected to the hormones as well....(it is said to be mostly a woman's illnesses anyway)....not that I truly believe this....as I think there are probably a lot more men affected by the wrath of the dragon....we just do not hear about many....(and we all know this to be true...men just do not want to admit things are not quite right....it is a *man thing*...I think...I think men deal with something similar to this as well...but of course...they would NOT ADMIT to it...

OK...I am sure I have opened up a can of worms here...

But to answer your question....I, too, can *feel* a difference around this time of month...and it is funny as it is clockwork....each and every month...

This is just one more *thing* that we, FMers...must learn to deal with....

I would like to encourage you to be sure and ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D level which is so very important for a lot of people these days...low Vitamin D can cause additional pain for some of us and it can also affect other illnesses as well..

Take care and good luck...

Thanks I will try to take some vitamin D. It surely can't hurt anymore.

I can empathize, the pain does seem to be more intense especially if the period is really heavy, I know for me the pain is more intense as is the craving for chocolate and the irritability factor is increased as well. When I'm in a lot of pain I take very warm baths sometimes hot enough to turn my skin red.

Hang in there, you are not alone.

My chocolate craving is out of control also for Pepsi , it is probably the caffeine I am craving, which I have been told makes the pain worst. But my mood of irritability is so out of control I can't stand myself, so I am sure my family is left scratching their heads. Lol thanks.
