God Bless all those who served, are serving and who gave the ultimate price for us to be safe and the world to be better.

So, in the process of being so ill and having the FM be dormant a bit , or overshadowed by how sick I was. I am always watching and assessing what is working and what is not.

I think I mentioned how my Sister and I compare me to my Mom and her issues as we grew up (before there was a name). Well, I have often slept in a recliner as it affords the neck muscles gravity to help the numb hands in the morning and the choking sensations I can get....I NEVER SLEPT on the SOFA!

My MOM slept on the sofa for years! Stating it was her back and her issues from a bus accident.

I was still coughing so much I didn't want to wake DH, so I slept on the couch. FIRST TIME....easy to flip to the other side when my nose was congested as to turning in bed to the left or right......
OK, OK.......I woke up, no numb hands and much less pain! Did it twice and what a difference, the couch is softer then the memory foam bed....is that it? I don't know.

Am I going to move to the couch? NO...there are enough issues in an FM marriage and then add a moving out of the bedroom...not good for the small talk in the dark, the hugs, the bond. I will not let our dragon sever this part........BUT..I am looking into this more. Plan to sleep there tonight to see if I feel new in the a.m. again. Right now I woke up with a glass headache* OUCH, and hard walking.

Always watching, always looking for better. As I read the posts I see others do the same and nothing lasts long so we re-adjust again and try a new angle. But for now, I wanted to share the couch/sofa...story.

Maybe we need to hang* like in the movie COMA....no pressure points to the body during sleep!!!! Ha!

Since being ill, my trusty cat Sela has been by my side the whole time (what a bonding time we have had). At mt feet hanging off the recliner or by my side leaning her whole spine along me.....me always saying thank you for watching over me. Often the cough scaring her into a run out of the room.......(barking like cough) YIKES.

So much better now. Still left with congestion and finishing meds....but definitely on the other side of the mountain (the easy side). 5 days of fever...but better now.

OK, just sending a story out there. Keep your eyes open!

Hello Nana B....glad you have found something new that helps...you must have a very *soft sofa*.....isn't is odd what we can figure out quite by accident? I sleep in my Cat Napper Recliner, with pillows...so soft with no pressure on my body....I also have back issues..have said that FM has something to do with my spine....and recently with the UTI and possibly kidney stones as well...it has not been fun...

I can not lie down though....it stops me completely up...can not breathe...so with this and the spine issues I have had no choice but to sleep in the recliner....DH snores any way...which does not allow me to have a good night's sleep...

It is strange as when we went on vacation several times and flew....I told my DH that I would be ok, if I could just be in the air every day....do not know exactly why....but it is indeed a relaxing feeling....with no pain..

I hope you will continue to improve though and be well soon...take care.

Nancy, good luck with the sleep study. I have been frotunate with sleep now that I no longer work nights. I have major issues getting going in the moning.

There has been a slight improvent since I started taking Elevil at night. The first couple of days I could barely wake up. After about 4 weeks now it doesn't take me quite as long to get moving. It was reccomended for a more rested sleep. In the past I almost always fell right to sleep, never moved and slept straight through. I never remembered dreaming and woke up more tired than when I went to bed.

We took it pretty easy all weekend. We stayed in town and spent time with my boys. It was a nice relaxing weekend. I finished another school book, it was a pain, But I passed with 88%. It has rained a lot more too.

To all who have served for our country, today I give thanks.

I wish you all a good nights rest, no matter where you nest tonight. Take care everyone.

Cory
