Wanting to feel normal

gaylors posted:
I am 27 years of age. I have felt like I am 3 times that age for a LONG time now. I wake up feeling exhausted, I have extreme abdominal pains with bloating, nausea. I hurt ALL over with my hands cramping up to the point I can't open them. I barely graze my arm/hip (or any other part of the body) & I feel like I was hit by a bat. I am extremely tired throughout the day & find it difficult to exercise because it makes the pain & fatigue worse. I have tension headaches often. I am a mother & find it very difficult to care for my young daughter. I am needing to find some relief in order to care for my child & to feel like a "normal" 27 year old should!

Oh I am so sorry you are in this state right now, it can get better. The worst is wanting to be who we were and knowing that it is not going to happen.

I have so many memories of the pain and dysfunction I had early on. I am in a better place now. It took a long time to get to where I am. I also use trigger point injections to release the muscles, not many here use this avenue. IT is what works for me.

I use a book called FM and Chronic Myofascial Pain by ;Dr Devind Starlanyl. It is a bible for me with cause and effect. Easy to read and figure out what muscle area is causeing the symptoms and what I can do to help it. Sometimes it works and sometimes I need to just get the shots to break the muscles congestion.

Be sure you are doing the good things for you eachday. I paid alot of money to learn that it takes 60 days of perfect good stuff for the body to get it in a healthier place........

This was when I started a product called Green Vibrance, a detoxifying vegatable mix (privately known as green scum or pond scum). It helped turn me to a stretching machine...I was so unable to do anything the doctors asked until I paid for a physiatrist to help me. Out of pocket it was 65.00 a week and I paid attention to everything he said, including posture and breathing right.....

This is a tough battle to fight, but you are younger and probably can get a handle on it a bit faster then I did. But again it is eachday, everyday. Hydration...good foods and supplements as well as meds and a good doctor to emotionally support you.

Glad you found this site, it is loaded with things to help and you can journal your path to SEE how it is going. My mornings too are the worst, that is why I am here..adding distraction as I wait til meds release the muscles a bit to move forward. You will get it down I know. So many to help. Just down stay in the black zone that this mess takes us. YOU DO HAVE POWER to do this!

I feel powerless at times and then get recharged and move forward. Being busy and distracted is imperative to my survival. I can't sit and think about this.....it puts me in a hole and that black hole is bad news.

I consider "draggin this dragon" around is my chore in life now. LIFE will continue, I just have a buddy with me . As long as I can keep him to the back behind me, I am OK.

So, look in resources for the toolbox and read the whole thread...looking for the tricks and trying them to see if they help. Sometimes it is a series of tools that makes the difference. I also have recircled the toolbox to get a break in the hold it has on me.

Time and listening to your body and having a physician champion who backs you up, P R I C E L E S S.

Good luck and glad you are here!........NancyB

Hello gaylors and welcome.....MiMi in NC....so sorry that you are dealing with so much right now....I also wake up feeling exhausted....I have chronic fatigue...according to the doctor...and he also tells me that there is nothing that will help this...we are stuck...I am still trying to find something though that will help me cope better....

I do want to encourage you to be sure and ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D level...which is important to a lot of people these days....low Vitamin D can cause some of us to have additional pain and it can also affect other illnesses as well....it is a simple blood test...BUT you MUST ASK the doctor to check it...as it is not included in the normal blood work that the doctors do....(I have no idea why not since there has been so much research on this)...

I do hope that you will find something that will help you cope better....but I am not sure that *normal* will ever be a part of this...

Check out the info here under *tips* and *resources* that you will find to the right of this page....I am sure you will find some good *tools and tips* to try...remember though that we are all different and what helps one may or may not help you....only you will know when you have found the right combination of things that will help you manage better...

Take care and good luck..
