Hello my favorite dragon slayers!

Just a little venting please.....

I love to work in the yard! It is my joy. I love to dig in the dirt and watch the wonders of nature. Yesterday my DH and I ran some rands in the morning. He bought me a few tools for my craft room and we bought some plants for my ever growing bird and butterfly garden. I was so excited about planting them! We get home, put things away and headed to the yard. It is early afternoon by the time we hit the yard. I took care of my bird feeders and fed my plants some Epsom salts. Time to plant! The beasts had been wearing on me and there was no way I could dig a ole to plant. My fog was so intense I kept forgetting where I put things. My feet felt like they were broken and every step hurt. Darn! No planting. I had to get off my feet.

I hate having a small window of opportunity to do the things I love. I have a few projects going that I can only work on for short amounts of time before the beast awakens. I know we have to pace, pace, pace. I do that. I just hate it....... I love gardening and crafts. I listen to my hands, feet and body to tell me when to stop. I wish they would shut up!

Thanks for listening to me complain for a bit.

Oh Kim by line 10 I knew where this was going! I have till about 12-1pm if I am doing outside stuff before I can't do..... It does break your heart, it does stop you in your tracks .

BUT, I will lay them out for the next day...Like I have the cans of stain and sanding papers ready for tomorrow.....Meds and GO! Until I drop.

Mimi always reminds us of pace, pace and more pace.

We just need to remember that and lower the days expectations. So glad you got some new things for the garden, and today I bet they get placed just right........

I feel that now they had a saying "In God's time"....well we are in "dragon time" If he is going with you....perfect*, against you, NOT HAPPENING!.

Chin up, today is your day I bet!. HUGs, Nancy B

Thanks nancy!

My flowers did get planted just right! My DH dug the holes just perfect and I did my special new flower treatment and put them in their new home.

Today was a busy day. My mind was at its best for a change. No fog! So I took advantage of it. Ignoring my body and pushed on. I got my bathroom taped and mudded. It will be ready to sand in a day or so. My brother in law was supposed to do that for me, but he kept making excuses so I did myself!

Also got a small area in the back yard ready for grass seed and spread the seed. Our back yard was a mess when we moved in a year and half ago. Finally got it cleared so now spreading seed in small areas at a time. Making a low maintance back yard with bird areas, a vegetable garden, grass and a horse shoe pit.

Hope your day was good! And pain free!

Oh Kim, you have been so productive! Enjoy what you've been able to do, as it is a lot by my new FM standards...LOL.

You were good to listen to your body and stop pushing when it said to. Then you were able to get out there and be productive again the next day. Very good.

Enjoy the garden!
With Compassion,

Thanks Margaret!

Today it is raining so it is inside day. Probably going to take it easy today. Too early to tell how I will feel. Morning stiffness still hanging around.

I will do some cooking today. Bake a pineapple upside down cake. Dinner and a snack for my husbands crew at work. He works nights. They love it when I send in snacks. Lol.

Have a wonderful day!

Just want to add that early on...this was when I lashed out. This was when I would yell at the DH or kids to " Just get over and help me!" or break down and cry onthe steps.....

I hadn't learned what was wrong with me, or the rules and tools to live with in it! Now I know my window of wellness, DH knows the signs of me faultering.....and the kids really get it.

I still push psssed my time alot and then rest and wait for a reprocussion, sometimes not...the joy of completing the project is more valuable then maybe needing Motrin on top of my tramadol.....or a massage from DH to release my neck a bit.

Learning to DANCE WITH OUR DRAGON I think takes years!
But it can be done. I don't hate him as much....I sometimes am worried about him as I blame so much on him and I know it isn't always the truth!

Have a great rest of the weeekend!...Nancy B

Nancy,

You sound like me! My DH also knows when I have had enough. A lot of times before I do. My kids don't quite get it because they don't live at home. They understand the disease. They both have researched on line so they understand. However, they really haven't en it in action. When they are home I spend time with them. Not trying to accomplish anything. They do fuss at me when they have heard I over did it, especially my son. (he is my sensitive child). Also such a momma's boy. Lol

Anyway, I have finished the walls in my bathroom and will begin the painting today. Maybe..... My husband hurt his knee at work last night and we have to go to the doctor this morning. Hopefully it is nothing bad.

Kim remember Dr P's rule....NOT ABOVE YOUR HEAD... arms stay home!!!

So BIG LADDER to keep the elbows in as much as possible and take the load off the neck !

I did a glazing procedure in the kitchem and bathroom, there are 3 layers in the bathroom and it is great, but I DIDN'T BREAK the law. By the third layer though I was beat.

Good luck. A new look is as good as a vacation for you!

I love changing the stuff around.........Good day to you! Nancy B
