    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Has anyone ever seen a pain specialist and if so what do they do to and for you? What did you experience?

I went to a pain specialist and he sent me to warm water therapy 3x week for 3 months. This didn't work well, made me feel worse.

When I went back, they wanted to put me on narcotics. I have Tramodol as my main pain med and I'm not ready to go to narcotics. Needless to say, I won't be back to them.

    Good luck

So sorry it didnt work for you! Iam on neurotin 600mgs three times a day. I cant get Savella or Lyrica with medicaid. My mdoc said she cant up my neurotin without me seeing a pain specialist ...so guess i will be seeing one soon. Maybe she thinks that the specialist can be of more help in getting these meds or something.
