Anyone have success with generic Topomax?

Hi. My dr just put me on generic Topomax (Topiramate). 25 mg 1x day for a week then up to 25mg 2x day afterwards. Has anyone had any success with this for fibro pain? Side effects? Thanks!

Hi, I take generic topamax 200mg a day for a seizure disorder and as a migraine preventative. I have not heard of this one for fibro pain. It has kept my seizures under control and lessened my migraines (slightly), but it does nothing for my pain. It is known to have a side effect of weight loss though. Good Luck with it, start slow it may give you jitters or make you nervous/anxious when you increase doses until you get used to it. Take Care.
