Morning FMily....MiMi in NC...where it is cloudy today with showers expected...supposedly there will be off and on showers for several days now...it is now 74*....so I am thinking it is going to be another hot day as well.

I woke up too early this morning...and thought I would try to drop back off to sleep....it did not happen though...as Harley heard me and demanded to get up and out...so I ended up getting up much too early to suit me...back pain sets in as I get up and move around...I hope the doctor will figure out just what is going on with me..it is always something...

Here is hoping each of you had a good night's rest....and I hope that today will be a good day with little/no pain for us all. Not too much to ask for...

Welcome to the new members who have joined our unique FM support group...and to those who are returning...it seems like a lot of people drop in for a while...perhaps find what they are looking for and then disappear for a while....we do like to hear from everyone...and how things are going for you....have you found something that has helped you cope better?

I would like to encourage the new members to be sure and check out the info under *tips * and *resources*...as I am sure you will find some interesting tools to try...just remember what works for one may or may not work for you...it is a trial and error process which does take time...which does take time...

Vitamin D....be sure and ask your doctor about getting your Vitamin D level checked...which is important for a lot of people these days...low Vitamin D can cause additional pain for some of us and it can also affect other illnesses as well...

Schools will be gearing up to start soon...I bought Alec some new shirts and jeans this week-end...and picked up a list of supplies that he will be needing for Kindergarten...I can hardly believe that he will be going soon...I don't think he is that excited about this...but I sure hope he will like school and learn a lot...NC now has some year round schools...and they have already started...I think eventually there will actually be more of these soon....with more breaks for the children throughout the year instead of just summertime and Christmas.

Have a good Wednesday....stay cool...

Good Morning, Mimi!
When I went to bed last night, the bedroom was 86. When I woke up this morning, it was 81.7, UGH. It was a lousy night for sleeping!

It is already 83 out, and the air is so thick we can't breathe. It will hit 95 today...There is no relief inside or out. I have a banging headache and my ankle and foot are completely swelled up. I think I will be lying on the bed today with the fan blowing on me!

The good news is, tomorrow will be much cooler...Then Friday it will be rainy and in the 70s. We are due for severe storms this afternoon and they're already putting up watches for some areas. The storms are part of a cold front that will cool things off. I am not looking forward to severe weather---we've had a lot of that this year---but I will be SO happy to see it cool off a little!

I am feeling the weather change already---my ankle is complaining. That's all I feel like doing today too, lol...Think I'll go grumble in my journal instead and try to get rid of this headache! Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi and good middle of the week everyone. I hope your yesterday was good and that your today is even better! Also wishing each of you a day with little to no fibro pain or issues to deal with!

I don't have a lot to post about so will make this post very, very short.

It's still hot here and dry. Will feel like 105, so they say, today. UGH. Might get a late afternoon storm to cool us off some, but not holding out much hope as yesterday came and went without a single drop of water falling from the clouds that were over head Our local Nashville news is reporting most of our farmers have lost millions of dollars in potential crop sales as the crops here have all been lost to the heat and weeks of no rain. the last rain we got put 5 inches on the ground but it's too little too late.Sad and we'll all pay for it at the market this winter.

No errands today. Got everything done yesterday so today I get to stay in and out of the heat. Later today DH and I are heading to our oldest DD's house to welcome here and GS home from China. She said it is an amazing country, but she has no plans to ever go back on a tour while it's run by Communists. She said it was clear they do not like Americans but love our money. They do not allow Internet access so she felt trapped there being unable to use her iPhone or ipad. I file this under lesson learned as she and could hardly wait to get back to the US where she is FREE to choose. We take that freedom for granted until we can't use it.

I noticed yesterday that my fibro pain and symptoms seems to be gone. The IBS symptoms are also gone. I felt so good yesterday while out and about. I mean not a single symptom. I felt like I could do anything I wanted and not pay the price afterwards. Such a good feeling. And this is how it is for me during the warm and sunny months of summer. I knew once the heat and sunny days of summer arrived I would feel pain and fibro issue free.

Sadly tho, I am thinking that I'll be feeling good for only another month or two and then about mid October the down hill slide into constant fibro flares and pain throughout the cold and sunless winter months will begin. UGH. so not looking forward to that. It's hard to feel so good, like I do now and then slide into pain and fatigue for months on end. So even though these summer days are hot and even muggy, I will be enjoying them no end.

Angelswife, sorry you have a headache and am so sorry that your apartment is so hot. I wish there were some way to make the house cooler and more comfortable. I understand so well how you feel as it's so hot here. Glad you have a cool down coming your way. I got busy yesterday and didn't find a minute to make any calls, but today I promise I will get a call out to you.

Will close this here with feel good wishes and gentle hugs going out to each and every one of you. Have a great day : )

Good morning

I had meant to drop by yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to. I had PT at 7:20, a haircut in the afternoon, shopping to do, baking (sandwich bread and my mom-in-law's banana bread), and my kitchen & desk needed cleaning. This is my second day in a row of waking up with a headache, but it eventually went away yesterday. For whatever reason, the headache mostly went away while I was up and moving. Every time I sat down, it came back! So I guess it was a good thing I was busy for most of the day

My desktop is still having issues and I've (finally) broken down and placed an order for a new one. It's lasted 5 1/2 years, so I guess I should be surprised it still runs as well as it does. I am hoping it'll run better after I've taken off all the programs and things I use, so it can replace the really old computer the kids use. I think we'll need to replace the motherboard soon...otherwise it should be fine for what the kids need

Oops...I've been sitting here for 1 1/2 hours already and I've got things to do today! DS11 & I are going to the library and I need to stop by the greenhouse to pick up some basil, but we can't do that until I've done the things that need to be taken care of around the house.

~air hugs~ hope you're all having an excellent week and everyone's healthy

Hello everyone,
I have been busy lately and haven't taken the time to post, but I have been popping in to read. My inlaws were good copany the last wek and a half and I will misss them when they leave early in th morning to drive back down th Texas.

I have been doing alright aside from some rough mornings lately. I had a very hard day today so my body will tell me how that went when I crawl out of bed in the morning, like it usually does.

We had a high of 75 or so today, a far cry from the 96 we had the other day. I was the first time the AC has been off in weeks. I am not excited to see July's utility bill.

We will have to do out school shopping soon too. We have the fortune of living across the street from the K-5 school. My oldest goes to the big scary high school about 2 miles away this next class year, but the nice thing is that he gets off the buss right at the house and my work is right by the high school.

I realy enjoyed going fishing last weeekend. I might have to do it more often, very relaxing and a great time with my little.guys. When I was young my dad took my twin brother and I everywhere, and we did a lot of fishing as well. I need a good low impact hobby I can do with them.

Life is good as of late, I am greatful for that, I wish you all a good night's rest, take care everyone, I will be around more.

Cory
