Morning FMily....MiMi in NC...I woke up much too early this morning....around 4...I think my back pain was the reason that
I woke up...I was able to drift back off to sleep...but it took a while and then it was time to get up...

The sun is shining and it is already warm...not sure how hot it is going to get...July is almost gone...with August right behind it...I am sure we will have a lot of hot weather in August..I will be glad when it cools down some...seems like the hot weather just saps what little bit of energy I have...

I hope everyone had a good night's rest...and I hope today will be a good day for us all.

Welcome to the new members who have joined our unique FM support group and to any of the old members who have decided to rejoin us....once a member of our FMily....always a member...we are glad to have everyone here.

I do hope the new members will check out the info under *tips* and *resources* as I am sure there are some good *tools* that perhaps you have not tried...it does take a trial and error process to find the right combination of things that will help you cope...and remember that what works for one person may or may not work for another....we, FMers, must keep on keeping on...until we find what will help us...

Vitamin D....remember to check with your doctor about getting your Vitamin D level checked which is so important to a lot of people...low Vitamin D can cause additional pain for some of us and it can also affect other illnesses as well.

Have a good day.

Good Thursday morning everybody. : ) I hope your today is going well and that your yesterday was as fibro issue and pain free as could be. I hope your today is even better.

Well it's hot here too MiMi. Gonna be hotter than yesterday, 105, with not a single rain chance anywhere near by. Gosh this has been the darnedest weather year. Yesterday I went out and within 20 minutes one would have thought I'd been hit by a sprinkler. My clothes were wet and sticking to me. UGH, so unpleasant.

DH is home today. NO real plans to go out in the heat. I will be stopping at the dentist to get a script for pain pills and an antibiotic for my toothache and DH has his allergy shot standing appointment this afternoon. Not wanting to do much out there anyway as it is terribly muggy and so hot.

And anyway DH plans to finish the closet project today. He got the door to the closet on, A small project in of itself as it had to be cut to fit the opening. Today is staining and painting day for the new closet and then soooo done. It looks ever so nice and fits the room nicely. I have to rearrange a chair here and there, but everything fits nicely. Was a tad afraid my idea to put a closet in that room might make the room look or feel smaller. Nope, fits and looks just fine.

Called my DN in Indy last night to make sure she knew we were coming up. They didn't believe me as I've promised so many times over the years and was a No Show. But I assured her that DH and I are really going up this weekend and was making arrangements for times to be @ her house. I talked about site seeing and she mentioned that this weekend at the Brickyard there was going to be 2 NASCAR Cup Series races.WE love NASCAR! One race is Saturday night, a first there, and then one Sunday mid day. .

So I had my GN look up the prices of tickets for the Saturday night race, much cooler temps at night, and bought my DN and her DH general admission tickets as well as ones for DH and myself. Now children under 12 are free, so DN is taking her 4 young grandchildren as well. So it's looking like 12 of us will be at the Brickyard Saturday night watching the cars going around ZOOM, ZOOM. I just love it when a good idea becomes a family event. So YEEHAA we're going to the races @ the Brickyard.

Oops DH is up now so will close this off here and get moving on his breakfast. EVERYONE have a great day and I hope it's cool where you are today. If not stay near an AC and drink plenty of liquids.

Gentle hugs going out to all. Linda R.

Hi Mimi!
Woke up with the runs and a full-blown migraine...Wish the "monthly visitor" would announce itself with less fanfare! I feel like I've been dragged through the mud by my hair, and my ankle is yelling. I can't get any of it to shut up.

We are due for severe weather today, including a stray tornado or two. Tomorrow will be the same. Right now it's gray and sticky out, and the air is so heavy you have to shovel it into your lungs. I think I'll be resting on my bed in front of the fan instead of sitting on the deck! It isn't nice out at all.

I saw the PT yesterday...he seems to be Fibro literate, which is good. He also agrees with my PCP's dx of RSD, which is not so good; but he doesn't want to treat it until, my leg has healed some more. Some of it might be due to continued swelling, and it will be at least six months before that's less of an issue. The bad news is, the RSD will complicate matters, and it could take up to 24 months to heal. But at least I know what I'll be dealing with. I will have to work on de-sensitizing the nerves as well as re-learning to walk. I am in this for the long haul for sure.

I will have to sign off for now---the migraine is bad enough that I'm having trouble seeing. The impending weather isn't helping one bit. Thank you for putting up with my not-so-good mood! I know I've been whining a lot lately and I will try to stop.

Good morning

I think this flare is finally on its way out! My face & ears still hurt, but otherwise I'm feeling MUCH better. DH shook his finger at me and told me to not overdo it "because you know exactly what happens when you do. You wake up feeling better and think 'oh hey I can get things done now!' and you end up hurting like heck again." So I got my lecture before breakfast this morning

I need to get off here so I can do a few more loads of laundry. DS11 gets to do all the hauling for me.

MiMi - I'm sorry about the back pain, but I'm glad you were able to get back to sleep for a bit.

Linda R. - Have fun on your trip

angelswife - *HUGS* Vent away - you've got more reason than most to need the outlet and we're here for you

I'd better go before DH gets up and tells me I'm not allowed to load the washer & dryer, either lol

~air hugs~ Have a great day

Hey gang,
Still doing OK lately, nothing terrible to share, good right? I did overdo it today. I have been better about that lately but it does happen. I had to clean up my little shop, (10x10) that I do everything out of and keep everything in. I have yet to build a garage.

I have calmed my nerves with work a little. I have one more raise coming in a couple weeks that I can realy use. I was reassured that all the extra work I did in my program was justified and appreciated by the company. Pretty much a bunch of you know what, but I have calmed down.

We finally had a couple inches of rain yesterday after going without for weeks. We are fortunate, as so many have been in severely dry conditions.

I hope you all sleep well tonight, take care everyone.

Cory
