What are your favorite songs about summer? Which songs never fail to remind you of summer and bring in the sunshine?

    Hi Caprice,
What a pleasant subject. I have quite a few but those that come to mind at present are:

    - Summertime (Ira & George Gershwin)
    - Hot Fun In The Summertime (Sly & Family Stone)
    - It's Summer, My Time of Year (unsure of title but artist is War)
    - That Sunday, That Summer (Nat King Cole)
    - Summer Madness (Kool & The Gang)
    - Summertime (DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince)

Isn't it funny that there we don't associate any favorite songs with the winter season?

Fun choices, Georgia! And not a Beach Boy in there! Well done!

One of my choices isn't really a summer song but it always makes me FEEL like summer: "I can see clearly now..." (love the symbolism and, since I live in the pacific northwest the line "the rain is gone" makes me happy).

    Who's next?

    Caprice,

I had to think about this for a bit.

Besides the birds, crickets, frogs and other summer critters that I love to listen to I would have to say:

Strawberry wine Sunshine on my shoulders Summertime blues Rocky mountain high

    Another great discussion!
