Morning FMily....MiMi in NC...and it is much too early for me to be up....the furbabies woke me up though so I did not have a choice in the matter...I could not believe that they woke up so early this morning...

I do hope each of you had a good night's rest...and are still sleeping right now....I am sure I will need a nap before the day is over...going to be a bit cooler today, I think they said...we have had enough rain for a while...

I headed up to Noah's house yesterday...he had been good for most of the day...but it seemed like when I got there he went wild...I cut the dog's nails...and Noah was getting a snack...he got excited and the bowl landed on the floor and cracked..it was his Scooby Doo bowl...he was not happy that it broke...but he could not blame anyone but himself for this...

I did speak to the doctor's office and finally they have arranged my physical therapy for my back...I should be getting my letter in a day or two...I sure hope it will help me...still having major issues with this..at least the stomach issues have seemed to settle down again...

Welcome to the new members...I am sure that soon each of you will find something that will help you cope better...you will soon know that everything with this illness is a process...there are no quick fixes that I am aware of...and it seems like it is a vicious cycle...never knowing what to expect...but there are tools that one can use...you just have to figure out which ones will help you...

I am one of the FMers here who has learned how to *control my FM pain* by taking vitamins and supplements and doing other things as well...I did try different kinds of medicines in the beginning but did not find anything which helped me without causing side effects...so hang in here and learn all you can about FM...

Vitamin D...ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D level...so very important for a lot of people these days...I continue to read about things which are being connected to it...low Vitamin D can cause some of us to have additional pain...and it can also affect other illnesses as well.

Have a good day...

Good Morning, Mimi!
I've been awake since 5:30 this morning. It is oppressively humid and my mind has been racing, so I gave up on sleeping. I'll probably take a nap later myself.

I am a bundle of nerves...my interview for temporary disability is this morning. I know if they deny me I won't have lost anything since I don't have it now; but I am praying they will say yes. We need the money so badly. Between Husband's child support (he still has to pay $100 a week even though he's not working) and his credit card getting compromised, we are at rock bottom financially. At the moment I don't see a visible solution, and I am praying a lot.

I couldn't go back to sleep this morning. I was thinking about the interview and wondering how on earth we're going to get through this month. We don't know if Husband will have a job to go back to in September. I don't even want to think about the winter, lol...I am dreading it more than I ever have. Usually it's my savings that get us through, but I haven't worked this year and there aren't any. All I can do is keep praying and crossing my fingers.

Husband says we should just pack the camper and head south, and give up trying to make it here. It's been hard on him too. He should be enjoying his life at this point...If I had the money I would tell him to retire; then we could just travel cross country and have some fun. It's been a long, hard year and we both need a break.

Usually I would dump stuff like this in my journal; but Husband did some cleaning yesterday and now I can't find it. So I came to the FMily for some support before I jump into this day. I am sure everything will go well, but it's a little hard not to imagine the worst when I'm lying in bed unable to sleep. Thanks for being here this morning. I will check back later and let you know how things went.

Good Morning everyone. I hope your day is going well and that you have little to no fibro issues or pain today.
I also hope that it's not too hot where you are today.

MiMi so glad that you are now going to have some treatment for your back. I hope you begin to feel relief from your stomach issues and pain after your first therapy session. Isn't it amazing that doctors now know that having back issues can cause stomach pain and problems. I'd never have thought that it could have.

Sharon, sorry it's been so humid there and esp that you are worrying about your early SSI application interview for benefits. When you get there, take a few deep breaths, let them out slowly and relax.. it's gonna be okay.

It's hot here, what's new, and humid. Should rain on and off all morning and maybe into the late afternoon. We have to be in downtown Nashville around 7 and I hope the rain is all gone by then. It always seems to rain on the nights I go to TPAC to watch a show. I hope this time it doesn't but even if it does, thank goodness for Valet Parking. It's drop the car off, rain or shine and walk right into TPAC. I am hoping for two things tonight, no rain I am hoping for a wonderful show. Afterwards it's dinner out with DH for his birthday. Knowing DH we will be at a Mexican Grill.

DH, the birthday boy, is sleeping in and when he gets up it's outside to do a few things, if the rain holds off that is. He plans to trim a tree or two and then run a few errands. A slow day for his birthday and that is as it should be.

I guess I should get up and do a few things before DH wakes up.

Here's wishing each of you a wonderful day..
Gentle hugs to all.. Linda R.

Good morning (almost, afternoon) everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good day.

More problems than usual with sleep this week - which is making me cranky and extra tired! The good news is that I think the flexeril I started taking 2-3 weeks ago at bedtime has really helped with the tense neck and shoulder muscles during the night. These areas feel so much better - even during the day. Probably because those muscles haven't been tensed up all night.

However, lately, the right hip/outside of my upper leg has been the problem area when trying to sleep. I like to sleep on my right side - but because of the pain on my right, I've been trying to sleep on my left. That's not going so well. I keep turning over to my right side and then I wake up due to the pain.

Wishing everyone a good day - and good sleep tonight!
