To the new members each Friday we have our TGIF Roll Call..and we hope everyone will drop by and update the FMily on whatever you care for us to know...this is just a good time to end the week and to update us on anything you care to share...sometimes people get busy during the week and do not have time to post...so we do hope you will let us know how things are going with you on Friday...
As for me...it has been another week of stress ...I actually find it interesting that I can stay at home and still be stressed with things...minding my own business and trying to do the best I can and still have *issues*...but when you have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren...well....things happen...and then you have weird and odd people too...who happen to get involved....well...there can be stress...
I did *feel* having physical therapy this week...I am glad that I decided to go back on Monday....I will be going twice a week...and they will be doing the muscle stimulation and then I am also using my tens unit...I had a bad headache on Wednesday....I hope this therapy gets me better...we will see..
Welcome to the new members who have joined our unique FM support group...I am sure that each of you will soon find something that will help you cope better...it does take time and effort...so hang in here and learn all you can about how FM and how other FMers cope...everything is a process...
Vitamin D...be sure and ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D level...low Vitamin D can cause some of us to have additional pain....and it can also affect other illnesses as well.
Here is hoping today will be a good day for us all...enjoy the sunshine, if you have some...and have a great week-end also...
MiMi
My personal exchanges are Vitamin D and Pain and Wrath of the Dragon....if you care to visit..
I know that's not always possible for each of us to be pain or fibro issue free each day, but I do so wish that has been the case for each of you.Talk about weather. Boy was it a ' bumpy ' night weather wise here.
OMG so much thunder and lightening. It went on for hours. And rain, gosh it came pouring down. Very scary. Got 3 weather alert calls during the night to take cover from the wind and lightning. Got up to find It's still feeling muggy here and it's over cast again, so I am guessing more rain is on the way later.
I am going to have blood drawn this morning for a one time hepatitis C test. I asked about this test 2 weeks ago while getting a booster shot. But no one from my doctor's office called me back. So I called to set the test up. Why? Again today on the National new I heard, 3 times now, that for all those born between 1945 and 1965 getting tested for hepatitis C is a MUST DO.
Like the virus that causes Shingles we were exposed to a virus that we were not inoculated for. Finding out if we have that virus in our systems now before it does any damage to our livers can be life saving. So in I go to get the test. Will also have DH stop by on his way home. He had his physical yesterday so this is good timing for him. After that I plan to stop by BF's house for a quick visit. Them home for an easy ' not much to do' day.

Angleswife.. am so sorry that you have had issues with your PT. You need to let them know that it hurt you and you don't want to do a repeat with the PT who worked with you last. Period. And I am still thinking positive thoughts for you and DH and sending them your way today. Let me know how it goes.
MiMi, glad you are feeling better now that you have the PT going on. Am sorry that you have stressful issue. I've learned over the years that with 3 children and 6 grand children, even when I mind my own business, that there will always be something happening around me that will stress me out. Hope your stressful issues ease up and that you are able to feel less stressed.
Not a whole lot to post about so I guess I should close this here by sending feel well wishes out to all. Have a great today everyone and have a really nice weekend.
Gentle Hugs, Linda R.
A beautiful sunny, cool morning here in No. IL. It's going to be like that all weekend! Such a nice change from the heat and humidity!
Mimi, I do hope you'll see benefits from the therapy very soon - and I hope you have less stress!
I had a pretty good night of sleep last night - so I'm starting off this day feeling pretty good. Being a Friday and a non-stressful day at work is helping me feel good, too!

I was happy for the good sleep last night. I'm still struggling with some pain in the muscles on the outside of my right upper leg - and hip. I like to sleep on my right - but I can't when it hurts. So I try to sleep on my left - but keep rolling over to my right. I think last night - I slept pretty good on my left side. I did rub in some Capsazin on the right leg before going to bed and that seemed to help a bit, too.
A few things planned for over the weekend - seeing friends and a jewelry party Sunday afternoon. Should be a nice weekend.
I wish for everyone a great Friday and weekend with little or no pain ... and good sleep!
Another day that starts cool and becomes a scorcher today in southeastern Mass. I don't mind the rain, unless we have windows open, but the thunder makes me crazy - my heart just races - when it wakes me.
DH has to work tomorrow, so I'm going out to play with my BFF. Whether she comes my way or I go hers, we always have fun. Sunday I make my blood donation, they're so friendly and kind at the blood center. I have hemochromatosis, and have to give regularly. I even have a written prescription!
MiMi, I hope the PT works for you, and quickly. Angelswife sounds like she's having a bad time with hers. Make sure you say ouch when it hurts!
Linda, I heard about the now required Hep C test. Kinda scary, isn't it? A friend of mine is getting over chicken pox - at 42! The memo- causes liver problems itself, so it's a little scary for me. I see my PCP next month, and I'm sure he'll demand it, among other tests.
I wish you all the best Friday - and the best weekend - you can possibly have!
Lou
I wrote another Friday check in note..but my computer went all crazy and didn't let me post it. I know it was my computer and not the webmd site..just have an old computer that doesn't always work..
Anyway, not up to redoing it all..just wanted to say hello..hope the Physical Therapy helps Mimi.
Linda...glad DH isn't dealing with that weather !! Stay safe !
TeeLady..hope you have fun with friends..and Lou...I think of you and wonder how things are going with your mom..
I start back to work on Monday..I am looking forward to it..

I hope you've all had a good week
It's been a long week for me. I had my exercise program on Monday morning, DS15 came home Wednesday morning, and I took both kids with me this morning when I went back to the gym. DS12 swims in the pool and DS15 kept me company (and did some working out of his own, too). The program I've been following so far seems to be aggravating my FM symptoms, so starting Monday I'll be using the pool instead of some of the machines. My body seems to be going haywire lately, as far as the FM goes. I'm to the point where I'm wondering if my bad flare ever really ended. I'm not hurting nearly as much as I was (6-8 now instead of 8-9 during this last flare), but it's still bad every afternoon & evening. I feel ok for a few hours and then it hits HARD and doesn't ease up until late at night.
I'm back to feeling angry and sad. There are so many things I want to do, but can't. Like today - I only managed to get through my exercise program and one short trip to a grocery store. I still need to go to three more stores this weekend. DH tries to help me and he points it out when I should stop doing something. I'm trying to learn to accept it gracefully when he says something about me needing to stop, but it hurts to hear it.
MiMi and angelswife - I hope PT starts working for you both soon. It can be hard to find the right fit, with both the therapist and the PT program. I hope you both have good therapists who will work with you.
Linda R. - I hope your hep C test comes back negative. There always seems to be something new to worry about

Teelady - Have fun with your friends this weekend and I hope you'll continue to get plenty of rest

Lou - Have fun tomorrow
We're having our version of a heat wave right now - in the 90s and no wind. At least the humidity is low! I'm so happy we don't get high temperatures very often since we don't have AC!cece - I hope your computer starts behaving itself. I got a new one a couple of weeks ago and it's had plenty of issues already. I had to restore it to factory settings (after installing all my programs and moving nearly everything to it from my old computer) not too long after I got it and last weekend I had to reformat it. I'm *hoping* it'll behave now.
I need to get off here so I can make dinner. Hope you all are having a great end to your week and you have something fun to do this weekend
I'm planning on a few hours of reading and maybe a little game time.~air hugs~
