Any ideas on where I can find a FM doctor?

Does anyone have any recommendations of a doctor that actually believes Fibromyalgia is real and has an interest in learning about it and helping patients? I don't want to settle for any doctor, being it costs too much, but I need to find a doctor that already knows about fibromyalgia and is willing to help me...I don't know if you're allowed to post doctors names or anything, but I'm trying to find a doctor that focuses on Fibromyalgia.

Hello crystallou....MiMi in NC...actually WebMD does not allow this...don't know where you are we have people from all over this country and other countries as can check out the *resources* though under *national fibromyalgia association*....and I think you might be able to find doctors there...

I will say this....having a good doctor is so important to us FMers....a doctor who treats FM and understands what we face each day....

I hope you will find one that will be a good match for you...and I hope you will find something that will help you cope better...

Be sure and learn all you can about dealing with the wrath of the dragon, aka FM...I think the more you learn about it, the better you will figure out what will help you...

I would like to encourage you to be sure and ask your doctor to check your Vitamin D level, if you have not already done this...

Take care and good luck...

My personal exchanges are Vitamin D and Pain and Wrath of the Dragon....if you care to visit..

OOOPS!!!! I'm so sorry I didn't realize that it was against the rules...I guess it makes sense, but I didn't realize it. I won't do it again. Thanks for telling me.
