Good Morning, Mimi and Nancy!
I haven't been on much lately...I've been stuck in a flare for a while and I couldn't shake it no matter what I did. I'm sure all the shoveling and painting didn't help. I finally decided to double my Vitamin D intake, and the flare has finally settled. I guess my levels were low again because I haven't been outside except to shovel.
We are getting rain here later. After that it should warm up a bit. I'm ready for spring! This winter has gone on long enough and I want to be outside and doing things again. I'm so ready for gardening it's not funny. I know it'll be at least another six weeks, though, before I can actually do something outside. But I can dream.
I have been officially out of the brace for a week and a half now. I couldn't use it when I shoveled, and my ankle was hurting worse with it on, so I decided I was done with it. Now I'm in the adjustment period as my ankle gets used to doing things again. My foot is still partly paralyzed, but I'm hoping now that I'm out of the brace that will resolve itself. I just wish I could do something about the swelling. That has been a real pain.
Today will be a low-key day. I spent all of yesterday making soup, and I'm feeling a little more tired than usual this morning. I made a batch of my Curry Ginger Lentil Sweet Potato soup in the crockpot; and I made an even bigger batch of White Bean/Kitchen Sink soup. It started out as white bean soup, but I noticed some of our veggies were getting rather tired-looking, so I threw all of them in as well. Thus, the "kitchen sink" label. I put five quarts of the white bean soup in the freezer, and six pints of the curry ginger etc. soup. Our freezer is nice and full now. That's a nice feeling, especially with Husband not working this week. At least we have something to eat.
I am going to start breakfast...Husband is up now, and is sitting half-asleep on the sofa, staring at the TV, which is off. I want to feed him before he decides to turn it on, lol. Hope everyone has a good day!
