Morning FMily....MiMi in NC where I just posted my discussion for today and it vanished into cyberspace.

OMG...not a good start for me today.

Well....I do NOT know what happened here but I will try to repost it later.

Here is hoping everyone will have a good day today with little to no pain. Remember to pace, pace and pace some more.

    Until later.

    Good morning Fmily,

It was an amazing 45* yesterday and now it starts at 60* so it is changing yet again. I got a very important project finished...the little room that became my hididng spot for everything and close the door......well I opened the door and started one by one...and now done!

I found so many things I forgot I had....and in going through the drawers in there...things for the new baby....missed them for the girls now. I always say to my boys(men) when you clean you find everything!!

Today I begin to close the pool and this is the first year it is going to go well! I have a plan and will stick to it. DH got the cover for this year and that was BIG..I just need to chemical it and lower the water. D O N E. I have new clamps too.....all good.

Tomorrow I see* the EYE doc. That detachment is still not complete and I get the light flashes all the time...I have to ask him if this is forever.....It seems the vitreous is still holding on in the inner right of the eye...when I look to the left with just the eye ball...I get flashes and at night if I am trying hard to see in the dark and the eyeball is contracting or so...I get flashes..
He told me I have to still see him if it is flashing...

Ah se la vie'.....what can you do. We see who we must to keep our motors running. OK, not much going on here today..Ironing and resting for the week ahead.

Mimi, I hope the knee is better today and there is a break coming for you.

    Take care, Nancy B

    Good morning !

Mimi - bummer on the vanishing post ! Hope your day gets better.

Nancy - sure hope the eye issue isn't forever. Sounds like the pool closing plan is a good one and easy. I know what you mean about the cleaning. I need to clean and declutter. Right now it is overwhelming.

Overdid it a bit yesterday. Was miserable last night. Quite a bit of pain last this morning but way better than last night.

Good Sunday MiMi, Nancy and turtle. My post went into cyber space yesterday and I didn't have time to retype . UGH this site sometimes.

It will be warm today and sunny. Always nice since the we've had he coolest and rainiest summer to date. I am enjoying these warm days with no rain to death. Know they will be coming to a halt soon so until the I'm feeling it.

DH had to put off both surgeries since he found out he'd have time off work because of them. Maybe a week, or more, for the hand and maybe more than that for the hernia. So he is getting his paper work, sick leave days, set to be off in Oct and will use the down time for us to fly into NC to spend a few days with DD and family. Very nice for me because it looks like we'll be there for GD's 17TH birthday.

Went to church service last night and dinner with DD and family afterwards. Always nice. And today I have Latin mass in the p.m. over at the Catholic Church. I grew up with the Latin Mass and it's comforting and brings back fond memories of family and friends who I grew up with for me. And, LOL, I can still keep up with the mass, in Latin, and even speak along in Latin.. a holdover from my Parochial school days.

Okay, day #2 since taking the shots to the neck for the migraine pain and symptom and they seem to be working well. I feel the migraine but no pain and if I take a simple Excedrin Migraine tablet I can get past it's symptoms in about 30 minutes without having to lye down. Yay That !!

Betty, I have upped my daily Gabapentin dose from 300 to 600 3 times a day. And low and behold, it is helping the Neuropathy, ( I guess I'm going to have to take Gabapentin at higher doses from now and for almost the whole year now. ) and while on the higher dose I don't even feel the pain anymore. So happy to know I can get better. But sad to know that nerve damage has caused me to rethink my fibro life and the way I treat myself because of the symptoms.

MiMi,, I hope you had a good night's sleep last night and feel rested today. I also hope your knee hasn't been bothering you as much.

cece, I hope that you have a stress free day and are able to do "ME" things.

Nancy, I do hope that things go well for you at the eye doctor's appointment. I too have Rental detachment issues with my left eye. I have had four bad falls over the years and each included major head trauma. :"( The second to last fall I had caused Rental Detachment issues. I too have flashing lights when I look to the right side of my head. So I have to go in and have the left eye checked,d every 6 months and have been instructed what to do and where to go, asap, if I have lose of vision left eye. So I hope that the issues you are having are getting less and that your eye is getting better.
Glad you got your room cleaned and set up the way you like it.

Cory, Hi, just a shout out to you...hope your weekend has been nice and restful for you.

Hey angelswife, hope your weekend has been good and that you've been able to putter around in gardens and walking in the woods.

To all the other wonderful ladies here on the board I hope your weekend has been good and that you have enjoyed sun and blue skies this weekend.
Gentle hugs to all, Linda R

I'm let's see IF I can manage to get this posted.

So yesterday I received a letter from the doctor about my blood tests....I had already been on the computer and reviewed what was on it. But then this letter appeared. Could NOT even believe this.

So my WBC (white blood count) is LOW...also the MCHC is low. My Glucose was high. And then there was the Cholesterol out of whack also.

The doctor states he needs to see me back in the office in a week or so to discuss the items starred(*)....particularly the LDL Cholesterol.

Nothing about a doctor's appointment for my knee.

And no mention of my Vitamin D test which I asked him to check. (does anyone listen these days?)

OK....I am guessing that the blood levels is perhaps why I have chronic fatigue....but of course I am just guessing.

I do NOT think this was the same bloodwork sheet that I viewed on the computer (in my medical file)...I tried to go back in to review it and could not sign in.

OK...just wanted to share this with everyone.

I am still having major issues with my right knee and actually my left one is beginning to hurt as well. I did review what the MRI stated (the doctor gave me a copy of the report) and from what I can find from my own research I do not think there is much hope for me....except to get it replaced. I guess we will see, if I ever get an appointment with the specialist.

I do hope everyone had a goodnight's rest and I hope today has been a good one for all of us. I think I could use a nap now.

Take care and remember to pace, pace and pace even more.

Good afternoon everyone. It is a cool 63 here and overcast. yesterday was nice. We had dinner guests and a campfire out in the back yard afterwards. They are new friends. He and his fianc? worked where the DW did until recently. It was a nice relaxing time and we got to know each other better.

I woke a wreck again today so I am taking it easy and resting up for the week ahead.I think we all must be too tough on our knees as mine is cranky still as well. I may skip our walk today, but t does feel better sometimes to move.

Mimi, I have to figure out how to look at my medical records online. It seems like I never get enough information right from the doc. It would be nice to have access to them. I hope you can find a way to deal with your knee pain without surgery, but I know people that have had a replacement done wish they had done it sooner. They felt so much better.

Nancy B, I hope you figure out your eye troubles. That sounds very irritating.

Linda R, I'm glad to hear you are able to manage your pain with the Gabapentin. I wish we could feel great without any meds. Side effects can be miserable form some of them. I feel I will have to get a med check with my doc soon and possibly up my dose, I am only at 100mg 3x a day. It helps but not much.

I had a brain fart this morning and thought I would carry our cat from upstairs to the porch downstairs. She was afraid of our guests dog and would not come down to eat or us the litter box. I almost made it and she saw the dog and freaked. I was mauled by my own kitty. She got me in the right shoulder pretty good with her back feet. I won't do that again. Drrrr

To everyone, I hope you have a great day. Pace yourselves and relax.

PS, I got to hold my niece's new baby today! She is adorable. Weighing in at 9lbs 8.5oz she is no little peanut, already wearing 3-6months clothes. It seems like it wasn't that long ago when I was holding her mother. Time sure flies.

    Hello All and Happy Sunday!

It's getting cool here in New England, around 70 today, and I needed a jacket for my evening walk. Two more weeks left of summer, and I hope to make the most of it!

I've been working, and haven't had the time to check in. They're keeping me busy, and those of us who are self-employed know that busy means billable! But two sick parents, and I'm the oldest, are keeping me hopping too.

My sister was with Mom one day last week when they were getting her ready for bed, and Mom's feet are in terrible shape. She has been there for a year and a half, and they've done nothing! I signed the papers for a podiatrist to come in and help her, and I'm going to contact the ombudsman about the neglectful care. I'm wondering what they were thinking, obviously not clipping her m=nails, and one is falling off....

Dad, on the other hand, has given up. Living alone must have been hard, but he suddenly doesn't seem to want to go home after the fall, hospitalization and now rehab. I've been looking for a new place for Mom, and I'm bundling it with a nursing home for Dad. Again, I'm the oldest and they signed papers that I'm in charge.

I too have had posts disappear into the ether. I try to remember to copy everything I've typed before I click "send". 95% of the time, it goes through. It might help you too. When I remember it takes just a few seconds...

Gotta go, work tomorrow and a board meeting in the evening. Have the best week you hcan possibly have!

It is kinda late, but I wanted to check in. I have had a good weekend. The weather was hot and sunny. I got lucky at Walmart yesteday. I have been eyeing a Barbie set of four of Disney Princess's for my niece's sixth birthday. At first they were over $40.00 and then came down to $30.00. That was still to high for my budget. Yesterday I went back to find her something since we were having her birthday party today. The Barbie set was marked down to $20.00. I was so excited I grabed it right up. My niece said it was what she always wanted with the biggest smile on her face. It is wonderful to make a child so happy with a gift and save so much money at the same time! I dread tomorrow going back to work. I hope everyone has a good week.

    Soft hugs to all,
    Debbie Lewis
