Morning FMily. MiMi in NC where it is 58*....they said it will be a nice day. I am hoping for cool weather today since we hopefully will finish my DD's back deck. DH had to do yard work the past 2 evenings so we were not able to do anything on the deck. It is going to be nice when it is finished. I know that it is so much better than it was.

Here is hoping each of you had a good night's rest and I hope everyone will have a good long week-end, with little to no pain. Not much going on here. The children are getting ready for school to end...which will be around the middle of June. They had make up days due to the cold winter we had. They also cut some of the spring vacation that they were supposed to have.
This makes is a shorter summer vacation for them as well.

So I also get a break from keeping my GS. I think I will miss this a lot. He has been the *apple* of my eye. He is a demanding little one, but so sweet and happy all the time. I enjoyed all of my time with him. They will be going to the beach some and having fun this summer....which is good for the children. He is still on medication though and can NOT be in the direct sunlight.

Welcome to the new members who have joined our support group recently. We have had lots of new traffic. I am sure that each of you will soon find something that will improve the way you feel. It just takes time and effort to find ways that we FMers can *dance with the dragon, (as Nana B says) instead of draggin the dragon.

Be sure and check out the info here under *tips* and *resources*. And please find the *member toolbox* where you will find all sorts of good *tools* to try.

Vitamin D. Be sure and ask your doctor about checking this.....which is important to a lot of people these days. Low Vitamin D can cause some people to have additional pain and it can also affect other illnesses as well.

I hope everyone will enjoy the long week-end for memorial day....also remember our service people and their families who are protecting our country and those who have already done this as well. Here is hoping that one day soon these people will be back with their families and out of harm's way.

For those who are traveling....have a safe trip. Remember to pace, pace and pace even more. Your body will thank you for doing this.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it on this nice Saturday.

Enjoy the sunshine....if you can.

Morning Mimi and Fmily,

Yes I saw Scotts post and answered it. Went over my letter limit with some rambling...but I think I got it all.

Great stuff when the significant other is posting, but I really wish the FMer was on too. Hoping it switches.

OK, this weekend and all through summer have things on them. I have 10 cards to buy for the graduations, confirmations, birthdays and weddings to come. OMG....I am going to my pharmacy where if you buy 3 get one free.....it helps! DH said the dollar store but I can't do that. I have to have a "label card".

Today I work on the patio more to be ready for either fathers Day or "my birthday"party. DH and the kids were hounding me "what to do for my birthday......(60). I was not giving them any answers until i finally said have it here. have a bar b q. Now I am so fearful of rain and all the people in the house.........

My dopey son put me in the email to tell everyone and we are talking everyone....there must be 50 people in this. I have not said anything but I am shaking in my boots with the messy weather we have all had. The builder for the garden boxes has never shown up, so that is sitting here waiting. (what an argument to get raised garden boxes as my birthday present) I need nothing....

So without it being all on me, I have to get the sandbox open, the house washed, the new patio rug changed over and cut to fit, the pool open and that day to bar moved out onto the patio.

Men never do it right or all the way, even though these guys are caterers. So I have my work cut out for me. I will tell all though that they did it all .

I am so happy to turn 60. It is a completion for me. I have raised the boys (with alot of help), settled in my job. Fought this mess with all of you and am so much better than when I arrived. Acheived supervision (though i don't know why I thought thatw as a good thing) my path is good. I can enjoy the things in life I didn't focus on before. When young you are in goal setting and I was always running, i never looked at life or what was around me. When I got hurt and then ill, it slowed me down to see** so much more. This path was life changing, ther eis little that is the same about me.

I am hopeful for these Grandchildren to fill my life with more love and joy that it will be hard to hold on to it all.

So, I hope Mimi you get your project finished. You will proud of that for years as you sit on it! Enjoy the summer with the warmth it brings to us. I can't wait to be in the pool and floating.

Air cinditioning takes away from "those lazy days of summer" that I had before it. I remember ironing on the patio in the shade....the house was an oven. You couldn't do anything even if you wanted to. But rest and pace are part of our lives now. Plan and plan again is another!

OK, a good day to all. A low pain day for most I hope.
Hugs, Nancy B

Glad to get a min. to check in...looks like I have a lot of reading to catch up on..

After a week of weather in the 100's and fires everywhere..now we have overcast and really cool...don't ya know it..I just want it not too hot and not too cold...JUST RIGHT...is that asking too much?

I am really getting tired..doing the two jobs...each three hours so still not really full time..but going from one school to the next is not a good plan as far as I can see..at least not for me..

At least not much more left of the school year...and I have had to take time off to deal with mom and dad...lawyers, his specialist at UCSD...who is an amazing woman...wish there were more like her..mom's surgery for skin cancer...so much going on...

And I started back at medifast today..I have put 18 pounds back on..and need to get it off...the pants are much too tight..and I am feeling rather exhausted these days and having trouble climbing stairs..etc..hope I can get it off quickly..

Hey Cece,

So much on your plate..taking care of the Mom and Dad is a big job and you will never regret when that job finishes. They are so lucky you are there for them. (even if they don't remember you were there...we* know!)

Sorry about the medifast slide. Me too. I am in deep crap and can get back in the game. The food comes every month and I eat with and around it. Alot of stress making me choose a "goodie". I will start walking on Tuesday when I return to work. It was so helpful to stay focused. Good luck, if you do* the program it comes off...........

Hugs, Nancy B
