Thankyou so much for your help with listing a new medication that i haven't heard of, i have had fibro for most of my life, i am 51yrs old.. diagnosed about 15 yrs ago..And have tried so many different meds, and not much has worked. Narcotics is about the only thing that has helped, but takes away all my energy... I used to be on hydrocodone with other narcotics and they seemed to give me some energy, but doc took me off trying to get me down to only five med's.. I don't know who in their right mind can only be on five meds, when they are going thru menopause etc. but mine seems to think thats all i should be on.. I went thru a horrible time two yrs ago with twenty brain abcesses's , came from an abcessed tooth i had pulled, and NEVER AGAIN.. went into seizures, was paralyzed short term, & felt like i didn't know anyone, or anything.. After five long months in hospital and finally Mayo hospital found out what was wrong with me.. After being sick with pnemonia etc. for four yrs straight. i dwindled down to 85 lb from 170lbs, and looked like a bag of bones with a gray skinned face and body, looked like death warmed over, and felt like it too. Thankgod for a good hearted husband to care for me and ship me off to Mayo Hospital. i had an appt with Mayo, but the day i was to drive all that long ways i went into seizures an was paralyzed.. Scarey.. thats about all i have to say at this time.. But still not feeling great. no seizures and thankgod my abcess's are gone, some holes in brain yet, but seem to be closing up.. One more CT scan left to see whats going on. Plus i have gallstones and COPD, and now with emphasema in lungs as well, when it happened i had the abcess's in upper right lung, and lower left lung, and then into my spinal cord, and into my brain.. Was a long time healing up. My husband tried to put me into a nursing home, but needless to say after that long of a time in hospital i wasn't going , no if's an's or butt's... But had a picc line in for antibiotics he had to give me twice a day, and a nurse came in once a week to do all my medical cks, bloodpressure, etc. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that it never ever comes back again... I thank everyone for the prayers and their kind words while i was so sick.. Especially my mother in law for supporting me while i was so sick..And raising her son the right way, she's a "family nurse practicioner" so she had a clue what to do with me.. And came to help out, before i went into a long stay in hospital... Love all who helped out while i was so sick.. Thanks again for everyones prayers & help.. Sheri
