How many calories burned?

I started a new job where I'm constantly walking (I pretty much only sit during a 15 min food break) and moving equipment (carts filled with heavy supplies, 25 lb. sandbags, etc.) for about 9-10 hours a day. I'm 5'5", 130 lb. About how many calories am I burning?

Try the WebMD Food and Fitness Planner and see if that helps you. I am using it to track my everyday activities plus the more "formal" ones (such as training at the gym) and there are quite a few in there, such as household activities as well as work. It does ask your age, height, weight, etc, so it does personalize it a bit...seems that the calorie counts would be a tad more accurate than a simple lip on pedometer that takes an average.

And here's the WebMD exercise calorie counter which is excellent:

And here's another source for calorie expenditure

Keep in mind that all of these are estimates. Calorie expenditure, unless measured in a lab, is hard to measure precisely, and so there always be error.
