Hi swethaa,

If you go to the toolbar at the top of the page and click on "All Diet Tools" and then Diet Community you can post this question there. You can go here http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-food-calorie-counter to estimate how many calories you are consuming, and here

http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-metabolism-calculator to estimate your metabolic rate, and then to this site to estimate how many calories you burn all day (called the 24-hour energy expenditure (24-hrEE)
www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-fitness-calorie-counter

From that information you can determine if you need to consume fewer calories, and/or increase your exercise. You do that by adding your metabolic rate to the calories you burn from exercise, and then subtract that from the number of calories you consume. If the number is less than zero then you know you are burning more than you consume and you will lose weight; if it's greater than zero then you need to consume fewer calories and/or increase your exercise. A 500-calorie deficit per day will help you lose one pound per week. Feel free to post your exercise questions to this community; for instance, what you do at the gym.

Take care.
