Hi Exercise Community Members,

What are your fitness plans for the summer? Any summer fitness projects? Are you planning to hike, climb a mountain, bi/triathlon, road race, long bike rides, learn a sport, play in a tennis tournament, recreation softball league? Is your summer exercise going to be different than the rest of the year? Let everyone know what you're planning. It's summertime. Get outside. Enjoy it!

It's not outside, but its something totally different than anything I have every done. I did anti gravy yoga, extreme boxing, and an aerial arts class at Shine Fitness in Vegas. I just moved out here and though since I'm moving somewhere new that I would try new workouts too. It has been a great experience and some of the best workouts I have ever had. Headed to extreme boxing again tonight!

Training for a half marathon and a full marathon, both are end of summer into the fall. But, I am looking for a good diet. I want to loose weight, but I realize I need to get my daily dose of carbs if I am training, especially running long miles. I did the 17 day diet and loved it, but that wouldn't be ideal. Are there any suggestions for good diet plans to follow when training really hard? Thank you, Michael

I strongly believe psychological support as well as surgical intervention is needed for many patients to change beliefs and associations with food that gnaw away at you even after surgery. It's like stretching a rubber band, just creates more tension until it snaps.
