    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Hello All,

One of the conversations we've been having in our weight loss program is how fitness helped people deal with the hurricane on the east coast. For example, people reported being able to walk up and down more than 20 flights of stairs when the power was out, even while carrying supplies, rather than sit inside confined to their apartment, and wait out the storm. People also reported more confidence in their ability to evacuate, or otherwise care for themselves and be more self-sufficient, as the result of being stronger. And some people reported being able to move heavy tree limbs or clear out other debris whereas in the past they may have had to wait for help to arrive.

For everyone affected by the hurricane, did fitness help you face the storm?

And for everyone, has fitness ever helped you deal with a natural disaster better than if you were unfit?

    Let's hear your story!
