    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

What foods and supplements that are widely available will help to increase my immunity? I feel as if I have been getting colds and other viruses that are lasting longer than they should (also, this past year I've had my first herpes outbreak), so I need to fortify my immune system. I'll take any and all suggestions. Thanks

    Hi Trymester.

Check in with the WebMD Diet Community http://exchanges.webmd.com/diet-exchange They are experts and can help you with your immunity diet questions. As for exercise, it's well known that regular moderate exercise can boost the immune system. Work toward 4-5 days a week of moderate intensity aerobic exercise for 30 minutes. Moderate intensity means you feel warm and slightly out of breath. You can also gauge the intensity with the Borg Scale of Perceived Exertion http://www.webmd.com/lung/copd/borg-scale-of-perceived-exertion-with-exercise

And here's a WebMD video on exercise and the immune system

Feel free to post back if you have more questions.

    Take care,
    Rich
