What can I use to fortify my immune system?
Trymester posted:
What foods and supplements that are widely available will help to increase my immunity? I feel as if I have been getting colds and other viruses that are lasting longer than they should (also, this past year I've had my first herpes outbreak), so I need to fortify my immune system. I'll take any and all suggestions. Thanks

Hi Trymester.

Check in with the WebMD Diet Community They are experts and can help you with your immunity diet questions. As for exercise, it's well known that regular moderate exercise can boost the immune system. Work toward 4-5 days a week of moderate intensity aerobic exercise for 30 minutes. Moderate intensity means you feel warm and slightly out of breath. You can also gauge the intensity with the Borg Scale of Perceived Exertion

And here's a WebMD video on exercise and the immune system

Feel free to post back if you have more questions.
