I have an abdominal hernia. What are some weight lifting exercises I can do to not aggrivate it?

    Rich Weil, MEd, CDE responded:
You'll need to speak with your doctor about it. Your doctor will know the degree of the hernia and what is safe. It would be risky to lift without your doctor giving you the okay or letting you know what restrictions you should follow. It may be perfectly safe, but you won't know for sure until you speak with your doctor. If you get the okay then you'll be able to exercise with confidence. Good luck.
