    Hot (Bikram) Yoga
    wigiwood; posted:
I wanted to share ths with everybody. I started doing Hot Yoga 7 months ago and my health has made a 100 percent turn for the better. I urge anyone reading this to try a hot yoga class. I now go 3-4 times per week and have dropped my gym membership in favor of hot yoga. Namaste.

My daughter was just telling me she was going to start taking a hot yoga class. I wasn't even sure what it was until she told me!

I know yoga is great for flexibility, but how is this HOT yoga different? Is it just that you are sweating out toxins?

Did you take regular yoga classes prior, and if so, how has this been more beneficial for you?

Even taking regular yoga classes helps you loose weight and build muscle. The exercises not only improve flexibility but they use body weight to strengthen. The bikram yoga classes do more because 1- your sweating alot which helps with weight loss, and 2- the heat makes your muscles able to stretch further. Colder rooms, even room temp. your muscles are more contracted so they wont stretch to their max. Water yoga would also be good, as you can stretch way more in a pool than on land.
