You cannot spot exercise. I went on mostly carb-free diet for several months. I did eat fruits and veggies, but eliminated breads, cereals and sugary desserts. I eat some complex carbs as sweet potatoes, rice, but ditched all processed foods with simple carbs in them. Even though I did not do this to lose weight, but to eliminate hand and foot pain, not only did I eliminate that......I lost 15pounds in about 3 months and it was ALL off the middle section. Flat tummy, toned up waistline, eliminated side fat. I also walked everyday, as fast as I could, sometimes twice a day. This was amazing to me. So my aching hands and feet were actually a gift to me. You ARE what you EAT!!
