Help With Shin Splints

I am only 28 butI have had these since I was 2 years old. I still get them and when I returned to the gym 6 months ago there they were in full force. I purchsed Tiger Balm from Sprouts and I'm sure you can find it in most stores. I put it on 20 min before working out and then after i shower and put more on if their really bad. I also found and was told that the calf muscle needs to be stretched and massaged to help alleviate more strain on your shins. Tiger balm, stretching and massage are the key!
