    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Zyrtec Question

The allergist recently put Emily on Zyrtec for her coughing.

Do you think that being on Zyrtec everyday would lessen a reaction if she came in contact with tree nuts?

    I'm just curious.

    Hi MrsWhiteCastle,

My own experience, I think the Zyrtec helps control my food issues. Recently I went off Zyrtec/Zyrtec D to prepare for appt at Mt Sinai on monday. Foods that normally don't cause any reactions seem to be slightly bothersome. It is a question I also have and will ask on monday? Amazing how you think a pill doesn;t do much until you don't take it. I tried vacuuming on tuesday and my allergies and asthma had a fit! So, no cleaning until after my appt.

Hope this helps. If I get a clear answer, I will post.
    Take care.
