Wanted to share - I recently came across Arrowhead Mills NEW product - Gluten Free Steel Cut Oats Hot Cereal. I am sensitive/allergic to gluten and so far have eaten this oatmeal with no problems. I found it at Whole Foods, but couldn't find it online. Not even on Arrowhead Mills site. Thought maybe some of you could benefit from this information.

Thanks for passing this along. Do you find other oats bother your system? I have read that there is some controversy over whether oats have gluten or not - is this due to manufacturing?

I have not tried an other oat products. I have also read about the controversy. I believe due to the harvesting and using the same machinery as gluten products. But I have also read that steel cut is the best option to try. So, when I saw gluten free steel cut oats, I had to try.

I was to my alternative medicine doctor yesterday and mentioned that I had found gluten free steel cut oats. He warned me to be careful because the first three chromosomes of oats are very similar to those of gluten and your body could misidentify them. Found this to be very interesting.
