One Year After the Gulf Oil Crisis - Are You Eating Gulf Seafood?

It has been one year since the Deepwater Horizon oil spill sent us into a panic and forced many to think about the seafood industry in the Gulf of Mexico.

Did the oil crisis affect your family or friends?

Coincidentally, just last week, I was in a restaurant which explicitly described several dishes as "Gulf Shrimp" or other Gulf seafood. I did choose one of them.

Great topic! I'm always confused about which fish is safe anyway. I would avoid giving my children anything from that exact region for sure. And I would have to do research before ordering from a menu or buying at the market.
