Serve Up Super Bowl Winning Recipes - Apps, Main Dishes, Desserts
Elizabeth_WebMD_Staff posted:
Planning a healthy, low calorie Super Bowl party menu can be difficult. But not to worry, here are some recipes to keep you in the game!

Today we will focus on appetizers, tomorrow on main dishes and Saturday we will plan desserts.

Let's think about switching out some of the fat filled favorites with these alternatives -

Better-For-You Buffalo Wings
Game Day Spicy Popcorn
Deluxe Microwave Nachos
Lightened-Up 7 Layer Dip
Baked Seasoned Potato Chips

Share the appetizers are you planning to serve for the big game? And, let us know who you are rooting for - Patriots or Giants?

Kick off your main dish with chili, burgers or pizza! Believe it or not your fanatic fans will notice action-packed flavor, not lack of fat and calories!

Beef and Beer Chili
Spanish Pork Burgers
Turkish Pizza
Pita Pizza
Roasted Vegetable Quesadilla

If grilling -
Apricot-Orange Grilled Tenderloin

What are you preparing for the big game?

Hi Elizabeth
I have a rule I follow I never eat while watching football
I can only have plain tea or water ... I will definately be watching though and rooting for my Patriots and doing jumping jacks for each point scored by them
Hugs Judy:)

Celebrate a great play or touchdown with a bite of these game changing desserts -

Rocky Road Brownies
Winter Fruit Crisp
Buncha Banana Pudding

With your menu planned, you can sit back and enjoy the game!

Looking forward to hearing if your team won and the winning menu you created!

I wanted to share this with Elizabeth and everyone else Cheering the Giants on, even if it is by default!

You can make this tonight or even in the morning so it has time to set.

It's called gone in 60 Seconds Dip *Serve with pita chips or crackers. Sounds a bit like an odd combo, but it's delish!
Let's go BIG BLUE!!!!

  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/4 cup Mayo
  • 1 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/2 cup or less green onion or chives I use chives
  • Mix altogether and put into a small bowl or a mold of some sort.
  • Refrigerate overnight, covered.
  • Topping
  • 1 jar red hot pepper jelly (you'll just need to use maybe 4 TBLS of each jelly)
  • 1 jar red pepper jelly regular not hot (4 TBLS)
  • I mix a bit of the two so the jelly is tangy but not so hot. If you have a Trader Joes store near you, you can find a sweet and hot pepper jelly for a lot less money and already mixed.
  • Take the dip out of the mold and place in the middle of a plate. Then cover with the jelly you have mixed and serve with crackers.
