    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Left out chicken
    Lxaaxl posted:
So Saturday, I left out some frozen chicken wings around 5pm and Sunday morning I put them into the freezer. I should have thrown them out at that point. Then I cooked them that night and ate them not even thinking! I know this is not safe but would this be cause to see a doctor?
    Chris_WebMD_Staff responded:
    Hiya and welcome,

Yikes! I am not a professional, all I can suggest is that you call the doc. And if you start vomiting or not feeling well, get in to see the doctor or go to the ER. But call the doctors office for sure.

In the future, when in doubt, throw it out.

Agreed with calling a doctor, but in most cases if the food is bad you are going to notice symptoms, like stomach problems etc. If you cooked them that is going to kill a lot of what made you sick. If the chicken didn't smell bad and it wasn't an overly warm house, sure the safe thing would have been to thow them out... but on the other hand, I doubt you will come to harm if you are otherwise healthy. But, an excess of caution rarely hurts anybody.
