Post-Esophogeal Spasm

PurpleCherry posted:
I have well controlled GERD on medication. Recently, I had a severe esophogeal spasm. I treated that with my prescribed anti-spasm medication. Now I am having constant GERD symptoms of pain below my breast bone and belching (first time for me) after I eat or drink something. Has anyone experienced this before?

From what you're describing, it doesn't sound as if your GERD is, in fact, well-controlled. You may want to check back with your doc and request some testing to be done to find out the true status of your esophagus and stomach.
