oes anyone else have Vagal Neuraliga???

I have a sore throat that will not go away. I have had this since last September. I was checked for gerd and lpr. I had the 24 hr ph test for acid reflux, that came back negative. After going from one dr to another I finally found an ENT in NYC that was on the dr OZ show. He kew what was wrong with me and told me I have Vagal Neuraliga, which is nerve damage in the nerve in my throat. It came from a cold and the virus settled in the nerve. I was shocked and elated at the same time. I have never heard of this before. I am currently on Gabapention to help with healing the nerve. I was told this will be a very long process and not everyone gets better. I must say with the meds and the supplements It feels much better. I do have days where I am in a lot of pain. It would be great if there was someone else out there that knows what I am going through.
