I have had an annoying cough for over 2 years now. it originates about the mid sternum and throat area. it's a pressure type feeling that gives me the urge to cough. I have a history or oral thrush, elevated calcium levels, anemia, pericardial effusion, MVR/TVR, and raynauds. I've had a bronchoscopy that showed nothing and most recently an endoscopy that showed "multiple irregular frangments of tan tissue".in my esophagus. But according to the doctor everything with the endo was normal. I didn't think something stating "irregular" was normal, but what do I know. I have a constant feeling of "something" in my throat. I'm at wits end of being told everything is normal when I know I don't feel "normal". I've lost weight, my hair is thinning out, i'm fatigued, and frustrated. I see an endocrinologist in a few weeks to rule out a parathyroid issue due to the calcium levels and other symptoms i've been experiencing. not sure where else to go. i've also had a more recent history of nausea with occasional vomiting! My tolerance to alcohol is horrible...even one drink anymore will make me so sick the next day. I do at times get low grade fevers that come out of nowhere and even had one that got up to 102.6, lasted for about 4 1/2 ours and then went away and I was fine. there's a lymph node on the right side of my next that tends to stay enlarged as well.
Any input or info. would be greatly appreciated. I just want to feel like myself again.
    Thanks!

I'm wondering about those 'tan tissue fragments.' Barrett's esophagus is often described as 'salmon' colored. You might want to get a written copy of that endoscopy report - doc's notes and the biopsy - and read them yourself. I hate to say it, but you'd be surprised at how many things are not relayed to a patient.
