Ive been so dang anxious for days and Ive had one Hell of a bad year on top of that. Health probs coming out my ears, which caused me anxiety, my back pain thingy that you all know about, also my daughter and her stupid azz father. Im getting so sick of being anxious. Right now I just cant stand it and I cant take much more of it.

My daughter has completed her required courses for college and in Dec. she will start her courses for automotive tech. I talked to her one last time, wanted to make sure that she is ABSOLUTELY sure thats what she wants to do. I told her it would be a real good idea to go to a place like Big O Tires, talk to the manager about what an automotive tech is required to do. Also talk to some of the techs themselves.

She told me that she wont be working at a place like that, that her father said she would most likely be working where he is, at Toyota. So I told her that a large company isnt going to hire someone with out experience, that she will have to work a few years in a garage first. Her friggin father has convince her that Toyota would hire her and he says that since she is female, they are even more likely to hire her as an auto tech. uuummm in my world, how many female auto techs do you see? I would like to know how many female auto techs there are working at my X's job. Its not an impossibility for her to get a job there, but its just not as easy as her father is making it out to be.

I worked at VW and Nissan. My X was an auto tech at Nissan. There were 0 woman working as a tech.

If he really believes he can get her a job, then he can fork out some dang money for her college education.

Oh and to top everything off, to really get my anxiety flowing. My daughter tells me that if she cant get an auto tech job at Toyota, then perhaps she can just work behind a desk. WTH? Thats NOT what I am paying for. I told her it was a waste of college money. gggrrrr. I do NOT need this anxiety.

in this day and age, when the economy is so bad, being an auto tech would probably be a good idea, but not working for a car dealership. less money in the economy means that less people are buying new cars. the money will be made at normal auto shops where people will be having their older cars worked on instead of buying new ones. try telling her that. the big 3 auto makers had to "borrow" money to stay afloat.

Hey sweet heart, Well my X doesnt exactly work at a car lot. Its for one of the main companies. They get in new Toyotas and other brand of cars and they test to compare them to their competitors. The auto techs not only work on the vehicles to put them back out on the test track, but they also do some computer work on the vehicles too.

I figure since my X is so sure he can get her a job there, then he should cough up some money for her college, but that will never happen. Also when she told me if she couldnt get a tech job, then she would work behind a desk. aaaaaahhhhhhhh. College degree down the drain and wasted money and mommy would be pissed off.

Toyota had a bad year. They had to recall many vehicles and I think that will be a big set back for them. I cant see them hiring any time soon.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. You always think of things that I dont. I panic, get anxious and then freak out. lol. Thanks honey. muahs
