I read your post about you and your kids having major depression from October to March..... I have a couple of questions and a couple of thoughts..... ok questions... do you live somewhere that get's really dark during the winter months? Have you tried taking melatonin and Vitamin D during those months? Melatonin (you probably already know this. sorry) is what the brain produces and needs to help keep sleep cycles and moods better balanced during those months .. just a thought... Do you also suffer from SAD? I use a light box everyday (ok, when I remember) during those months as the light helps a great deal with mood. (like sun in a box..
) .. ok those were my thoughts.. now.... That time of the year is really really bad for me... also like clockwork.... I feel the change start in mid October, and by mid November all hell has broken loose. (I am a rapid cycler, BP1 and get very dangerous mixed episodes during those months, every year.. they are getting worse with each passing year ..... Do you find you are getting more affected by this as the years go by? It's awful for me, and when I come out on the other side, the damage I've done is heart wrenching.. but I just wake up one day early January and am clear headed, but then slip into a depression....do you just get the depression or swings as well?
