Transvaginal ultrasound while on my period
avatar
BostonMom14 posted:
Tomorrow I am scheduled for a transvaginal ultrasound because of some irregular periods I have been having lately. I thought my period was going to start later this week, but it just started today. Will I still be able to have this ultrasound or do I have to reschedule it after my period is over?

Call them first thing in the morning and ask them what you should do.

You don't have to wait for your period to be over because it won't affect the ultrasound. As long as you don't mind it you're OK :)

Thanks for the replies! I did have the ultrasound even with my period. I was more embarrassed then the sonographer was but I guess they have seen it all. :)
