Vagina pain after pelvic exam

I had a complete hysterectomy in 2005. I have also had both of my ovaries out.

I went yesterday for my yearly Well Woman Exam. It was very very painful while the dr was doing the pelvic exam. He said that the muscles were very tense.

I am still having pain in my vagina today. I don't think that I have ever had pain last like this after a pelvic exam.

What should I do about this pain? Should I call the gyn back? Or something I could do at home to make it feel better?

I am 26 I have Vulver Lichen Simplex, and also endometriosis and I wish I could have hysterctomy, Every time I have an Exam it is so painful I have to take a pain pill before but if the pain continues I would defently call back plus I only see female OBGYN's they are more gentle all of my Doc's are women. Just had a really bad experience with an ER doctor and he was a complete butt and he did an exam and he actually tore my skin.
