Lump Fingerlike protrusion hanging out of rectum or anus causing bleeding

Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this really. But I started having bleeding & pain two weeks ago. Second day I had it, when I was sleeping in the morning before I woke up I felt nausea in my sleep, & when I woke up I still felt nausea, & I felt like I had to go to the bathroom. So I went to the bathroom but all that would come out is gas & blood. Then later on I felt a lump fingerlike protrusion hanging out of my rectum or anus causing bleeding. And now I have been bleeding so bad that it's been staining my underwear enough that I wish I had pantyliners or pads. The pain has been so bad that it wakes me up at night screaming. Last time I had a lump on my rectum or anus it was the size of a pea & the doctor said it was just a hemmrhoid but well it's grown to the size of my pinky to the first knuckle. And when I had the pea sized lump the pain was never this bad & the bleeding eventually stopped, I think at the most the bleeding I've had this time only stopped for one day & then started back up. I'm planning on going to the doctor on the 15th cause I have a regular dr appointment that day for a blood test for another medical issue I have. Anyways in the meantime I'm just wondering what could cause this much pain. Any info would be great!

This likely is a hemorrhoid; an enlarged blood vessel that is protruding out of the anus, both bleeding and causing pain.
Have you tried any of the over the counter creams for hemorrhoids? They have both a topical anesthetic to help with the pain and ingredients that encourage shrinkage of the enlarged blood vessel. They may help bring some comfort until you can get in to see your physician.

Yes I have & it didn't shrink or go away & i've been using it for over a week it just temporarily relieves some of the pain, but not all of it & tonight it got really bad after the bowel movement it burned like acid on my rectum & it was unbareable.

Yep; those bowel movements can really hurt with a hemorrhoid! Luckily you have your physicians appointment today, correct?

I honestly don't think it's a hemmrhoid cause I have had a hemmrhoid before & they don't wake me up at night screaming like this lump has from the pain. And it's not just that I've had problems with my rectum feeling like my spincter muscle slams my rectum shut & it hurts like hell when that happens & I have no control over it. =( It's horrible!!!

yah I'm going to my doctor on Tuesday next week. I'd go in sooner but my husband can't afford the copay til then. Thing is Colon Cancer is on both sides of my family & my dad has had polyps. And I've had bleeding problems for years off & on, my husband has complained to my doctor that it has been every 3 months that I start bleeding. This time it just hasn't stopped. And even if it is just as simple as a hemmrhoid the growth is not shrinking & it's making it a difficult task just to pass bowel movements cause of the pain & the constipation from the growth blocking my rectum. So I'm thinking that the doctor is probably gonna have to remove it unless there is a medication that I haven't used yet that would shrink it.
