My cycle??

Not knowing where I'm at in my cycle is driving me crazy. After my MC I wasn't getting OV or AF. So I went on the pill for a month and three days (I was making sure bf still wanted to try so I didn't stop when I wanted to.) Which meant I had a period that started on May 4th. From there I had light bleeding/spotting for two days which stopped on the 17th. We did the bd last night and now I have spotting or light bleeding again.
I don't know if I'm pregnant, or if we were too rough (I don't think so) or if something is wrong with my body. If I were pregnant I wouldn't be far enough along to test so in the meantime I just kinda freaking out (which in the end isn't good if I'm pregnant). I'm just not sure what to think, the other day I thought implantation bleeding but now I'm not sure.

Jane Harrison Hohner, RN, RNP responded:
Dear Precious: The erratic spotting/bleeding may indicate either continued missed ovulations and/or a residual of the short term birth control pill use. You are so right, without regular periods it is frustrating trying to figure out where you are in the hormonal cycle. It's too bad that ovulation predictors are too expensive to use daily. In a situation like yours, if you got a positive, you would know to not only have intercourse but you would know to expect a flow in about two weeks if no conception occurred.

Here is a link to my favorite discussion about fertility predictor monitors and ovulation predictor kits:

I'm sorry I cannot give you a more "for sure" answer about your current spotting.
